Hmmm. Now we have word from an "in the know" source that J-Fled was observed packing boxes late last week. Whether this is in anticipation of his rumored 17 May departure or, hopefully, the 01 March contract expiration date remains to be seen.
Supposedly, Rahm is letting all sorts of people know that their services will no longer be required well before his actual inauguration in May.

same sorta thing over at FOP this week. i stopped in to discuss using the hall for a police related auction/fundraiser. i noticed several boxes packed up and some partly filled in a variety of rooms and the hallways. also noticed a now empty book shelf in an unnamed board members office that used to be filled with about 200 books. a explanation wasnt offered tome and it wasnt my place to ask what was going on but it was quiet obvious..it's sad to think whats going thru their minds, these are some good guys.
Masters? I doubt it he is staying because Ray Ray Hamilton is too. Rahm has to make room for KB and the others friends of Mike / Hamilton.

off topic but I saw the episode of the show "cops" on tonight and the cook county sheriffs police were on there.. Pathetic! they rode with three departments on that episode and one is a high speed chase with dope, the second is a fight with a bad guy with a weapon then they get to cook county guy and its three ten year olds throwing rocks... it was pretty embarressing. they also had about 10 cops there all looking to show thier face on tv. They cant find anything better to put on tv???
Next question, and MORE IMPORTANTLY...
....Is this asshole gonna steal a fat pension of his ridiculous salary??
Maybe he will leave on his own accord with some dignity and not wait to be fired by the Balerina?

Now all tact Lt's are ordered to go to headquarters and say by to him cuz no one else wants to so they're forcing tact Lt's to go say bye to him

It's all a rumor. The two or three people in the sup.'s office being moved are just to get them some time elsewhere before they get promoted. That's the way it's always been done. I did see the fake wanna be cop 3M at the norhtside shooting. Wow, he is one wierd dude that is on a power trip. Hope Rahm see's him for what he is and realizes he has no business acting like the police.
Word is that all District commanders and their tact Lts. are to report to 3510 this coming Monday for a mandatory meeting. No one is saying what the reason is for this 'summit.' It could be possible that Mayor-elect Ballerino has selected an interim Supt., and J-Fled will depart this coming week.

I thought it was a coronation.
It just hit me this a.m. I was in the first class (June) of 1500 hires in '86-'87. It was great because you had seniority so quickly. Only about half of us are left. I'm going as soon as possible. Brings back great memories though, we were the last ones who were truly trained by old-timers, whose advice still applies today. Revolver police. Still relevant.

I thought that you had to have 10 years to be vested.
So, he can't try and take a pension. He can however pull whatever he put in.

The not quoted reason for the meeting is the new direction the department is heading in set in motion by Ernie Brown...Arrests are not solving problems, so tact teams need to not be arrest oriented. New strategies of having teams saturate and not leave high gun violence areas within their districts. If an arrest is made it has to be related to the guidelines that Ernie Brown has set in place...Back to the old Quality instead of quantity as we've all seen before...If this is the direction we are going, then there is no use for tact teams. They were always used as the commander's private (management) army to boost numbers or piss on little fires before they got out of control; just saying!

Just for clarification,COPS is an entertainment show and not the news.In Illinois in order to air anything you have to have the permission of all parties involved.This didn't happen,the shitheads wouldn't sign. Yes it is embarrasing to us too but Darts 100,000$ press people couldn't figure this out. Oh and don't look for COPS to come back to any other Depts because of our liberal laws.

I can't believe that you have such little knowledge of the pension that you believe that someone could qualify in only 4 years. If he paid in, he gets tha money back. Period.
