Coach Q Out of Hospital

We wouldn't be surprised if we had a bleeding ulcer, too, following this season:
  • Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville was released from the hospital Saturday, the team announced.

Quenneville had been hospitalized since Wednesday morning with a bleeding ulcer caused by aspirin use.

"Joel was released from the hospital (Saturday) and is resting comfortably at home," Hawks team physician Michael Terry said. "We will continue to monitor him and still anticipate a full recovery. We are working to determine when it is best for him to return to his coaching duties."

The Blackhawks have been hovering just outside of the post-season cutoff all year, never being able to string together a set of games that would solidify a berth in the playoffs. Time is running out on the defending Stanley Cup Champions. We, along with many others, had hopes of a repeat dashed early in the off-season with 8 or 9 key personnel losses. The salary cap realities and contract expectations of championship caliber players conflicted too heavily to expect anything else.

they probly wont make it to the playoffs. campbell is an overpriced stinker, hossa cant score, turco plays like he s 55 and stalburg and pansani are worthless. the talent and chemistry isnt there this year.the second-third and fourth lines arent contributing like last year.

Loved the billboard I saw today coming into Illinois. "Ill-annoyed by high taxes? Come to Indiana where it's cheaper to live". I almost forgot how cheap items and how low taxes are in other states. It was great getting gas for $2.95 a gallon. The day I retire the moving van will be ready to go. Ilinois, adios motherfucker.

SCC Comrade. Its the curse of Dollar Bill Writz from the grave. Who pushed for the salary cap? who led the lock out in 2005?
We won it for our one and only time in our life time SCC. I know you dont remember 1961.

We should have let Kane(trade) go, and kept Buff, Ladd and Steiger and maybe Eager. We have no antagonists like Burrish and Sopel. Who stops the top lines now. Keith is burned out that 28 minutes a game is killing him. I bet we loose Seabrook. Turco for Neimi? we loose Neimi over 500 thousand, 2 mil vs 1.5 for no stoppin Turco.

Look at Stalberg.(for Versteeg) WTHeck. Bickell, Dowell and ex hawk Skille. WTH!! Plus Ryan Johnson m/2/35! Nando Pissani m/2/32, released by Edmonton!!
We get Leddy, to small lite, for big Buff 18 goals 43 pnts, Ladd 18 goals this year; for Eager we sign Scott, he skates like I do in reverse. SCC Im 53 I can die now they won the cup in my life time. I was so over come with emotion I couldnt loot or burn cars like the Globe Trooters Bulls Paternity Fertility League championships.
I have money on Vancouver for the cup even though there defense is hurting, look out for Boston and the Ffen Flyers at cup time. Six defense men traded in 2 days, every one else gettin better, I think we miss the playoffs this year..Go to Salary Cap.com look at the Hawks payroll.

Watch we unload Sharp or Boland, instead of Kopeckny or Bouyton. WE cant beat Columbus, JMF-Jes/mary/jos.

Coach Q is lucky its only an ulcer, it could have been a brain aneurysm the way there playing.
Long live the curse of Dollar Bill.

The day after it was announced that Atlanta had given Big Buff a 5year $26 million contract, coach Q ended up in the hospital.

Coincidence?

Blackhawk hockey will once again fall into obscurity after a brief revival. The Bulls are the team to watch in the coming years.

Off topic: Watching NOW: Chicago on public television. Today they're featuring the Hegewisch neighborhood. The issue of the outdoor range came up- and who do they have on to discuss it? A rambling, 5 minute monologue from some environmentalist who opposes it because it might scare birds in a nearby pond.

Gear up for the fight on this range.
BANANA's (Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anyone) coming out in full force, public television giving them an unopposed platform.

Can we call the Stan Bowman expiement over please.
Stan has no eye for talent and only has the job because of daddy.

Had anyone else noticed how much less facetime there is of Rocky et al on the TV broadcasts this season?

Some call Chicago fans bandwagon jumpers, but Chicago fans are smart, and know the game, all sports, well. We expect results and won't follow the kool aid cart because owners throw a championships our way every now and then. All except Cub fans that is.

Not winning championships every season is expected, but going from elite to embarising is unacceptable. It's magnified in the NHL where half the teams make the playoffs. For the Hawks to be 3 spots out of the playoffs the year after winning the cup lessens last years accomplishment.

Towes,, Kane, Sharp, and Crawford are keepers the rest can go for the right deal.

Now I love my Hawks sec 121 :D. But at this point I'm more concerned about my pension and if I can retire in 5 years or keep working until I get kicked off at 63.

they were shopping soupy around but nobody wanted to take on his salary--- plus he is on the plus side--- it's easy to second guess the moves the hawks made but they had to be made to come under the salary cap---- you need more out of kane and hossa--- they are making huge money and have to start burying the puck--- crawford has definitely wanted it more than turco---- playoff bound teams do not lose games in which they have a 3-0 lead or blow games in the third period--- trading seabrook would be a mistake, he is a beast and has many good years left--- the hawks will have to make some hard decisions if they do not make the playoffs---

There biggest mistake was letting Byflugien go. This was his breakout season, where he's been playing great all year like he only used to do in the playoffs.

The Hawks have lost a lot of close games and OT and shootouts, whereas last year just the opposite was true.

If even 6 of the close games go the other way, the Hawks would be looking a lot better right now.

Bought a house almost the day after I retired, in Indiana. Still got to get kids through school here, then it's Bye Bye.
