Rahm Under 50%?

We can hope, can't we?

Vote.

A runoff would prove to be the best entertainment we've had around here in twenty years or more.

"Rahm slipping -- under 50% -- discouraging." Yeah, this is all over the news tonight again.

Ugly self-fulfilling prophecy -- like telling someone your business isn't doing too well. All of a sudden you've got leprosy.

God, we can hope, can't we?

I am voting for a run-off at every level of the ticket. I want to see Rahm and my Alderman have to dig deep into those retirement accounts called 'Campaign Funds'

If nothing else it will scare the beejeezus out of them

Well, maybe a runoff would give Blago's people enough time to rustle up those 'missing' Rahm tapes.

I'd love to hear what the mayor-in-waiting said about selling Obama;s old job. And WHO it was slated to go to.

The polls have made Rahmulans complacent. The ice and icky-icky weather will help keep them from being bothered to vote.

You may not love Chico, but he is the ONLY viable, winnable, alternative. Get out and vote today.

Better yet, give a ride to someone who will 'vote Chico' to the voting place, too. Mom might stay home today, but she's a Chico fan. You better believe I'll make sure she has a ride to the polling place.

Get off your butts and get out and vote. It is time for those of us voters with a brain to exercise the rights earned for us by the blood, sweat, and tears of the men and women of our armed services who have fought and died for us to have this freedom. (and no Rahm, taking a job in the White Hours is not the same thing, shame on you for comparing the two)

We are the sheepdogs (hate to quote Grossman but the more I look around the more I believe he is right). It is time to put the Rahm Sheep, who blindly drink the kool-aid, in their place.

According to Rahm, he is the person who orchestrated a majority of Obama's failed policies, just watch his commercial. Most of those were probably written on the back of a napkin like his "tax relief" nonsense he is proposing.

GET OUT AND VOTE!! Vote anyone but Rahm. Get at least 1 other person to go to the polls to vote against Rahm. We have the numbers people. Let's show him we don't want his carpet bagger ass running our city.

The best finish would be Rahm being Number 3 out of a run off position. We will get to watch the sheep with the same dumb look on their face that they had when we got knocked out of the Olympics bid.

VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

A run-off would be good for the city. More debates, I hope, that would really focus on the the issues of the city and the ideas of the candidates. These ads do nothing but attack the opponents and never give details of the candidates positions. But, I am tired of people spouting off on how Rahm will take away our pension and Chico will save it. The only people who can alter the pension is the Illinois State Legislature. Not the mayor or the alderman. The mayor can sponsor changes, but cannot make them. And, I do not think it matters who the next mayor is, the changes are coming.Madigan said so so that means it is so.

Between Chico and Rahm I will take the better of two evils and that is Rahm who will lessen the powers of Burke.

I enjoy your posts SCC however I have noticed that you are very biased when it comes to police issues even when it is blatant that the cops are at fault.

A vote for anybody but Chico is a vote for Rahm.

Our future finances depend on Rahm getting defeated.

I'm just hoping that ballet pic of Rahm looking like Tim Curry from "Rocky Horror Picture Show" soured a bunch of people.

Even if Rahm gets 45%, all he needs is an additional 5% of the vote plus 1 vote in April. Do the math, he is TO BIG TO FAIL.

You can bet that having the "Rahm over 50% message" would hae possibly made some feel that they didn't need to vote so the message had to be changed to "Rahm slipping" to give some aa reason to get to the poles. Can't believe ANYTHING coming from main stream media would give you true and honest information.

One of the things that hurting him are the Obama&Clinton comercials.
Wroking people don't want to see these idiots , they want a mayor who can think for himself, not carry on business as usual, which is what these comercials convey.

If you work or live in this city shame on you for your reasoning on the better of two evils. As for the second part name the "blatant" incident that you are referring to, or are you like most citizens that assume the police are at fault in any incident they are involved in. By the way don't confuse biased with the fact that a lot of the contributors to this blog have an insight and first hand knowledge that a non police citizen could not have. A police officer is at ground zero for a lot of incidents that are second guessed by pols, the media and lawyers with visions of big pay days on the brain. No disrespect intended but you don't know what biased is. A couple of clicks of your mouse and you will find the most hate filled vile web sites that are aimed against police officers.
sites against the police in general.

assuming that everyone who voted for him today will, without fail, vote in the run-off, and vote again for him, AND that the exact same number of total votes are cast in the run-off as were cast today.

doing the math is not one of your strong points.
