Pardon Our Laughter...

  • A gunman caught in the act during a convenience store shooting on the South Side Saturday afternoon was run over by cops and arrested, prosecutors say.

Demetrius Allen, 28, appeared in court Sunday morning with two black eyes, wearing a large bandage wrapped around his head.

Prosecutors allege he shot a 30-year-old man twice in the shoulder in the store in the 5800 block of South Morgan before police officers spotted him running away with a revolver in his hand, and then pointing the weapon at them.

Fearing for their safety, the officers ran him down with their unmarked squad car, according to a police report.

Allen, of the 6100 block of South Morgan, is charged with unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of aggravated assault of a peace officer. He scowled as Judge Adam D. Bourgeois set his bail at $250,000.

First up, this Judge Bourgeois is appearing in a bunch of articles lately, and we have to admit, we're liking his style on the bench. High bails and some pro-police commentary.

Second, an excellent job by the responding unit to run this asshole over. We're imagining the look on jagoff's face when he realized he was facing a few thousand pounds of metal that wasn't stopping - probably very much like Wile E. Coyote. Priceless.

Meeting deadly force with deadly force is appropriate. And lawful.
Good guys go home okay and additional lives were likely saved by their actions.

Judge Adam D. Bourgeois is very pro police. He laughs at shitheads charged with agg batt PO or agg assault PO and says " You cant be fighting the police, They always win" and then slaps them with a high bond. Ive only seen him in action in bondcourt, but seems like we wish we had more of him.

I remember when Burgeois first set on the bench on 111th. There were solid cases to put bad guys away instead he found no PC because he felt sorry for the black youth. Is it a 180 turn? Has he become more jaded like cop? I'll wait to see the determination. Ocasio is a better judge. Down to earth friendly and knows his stuff. But I digress.

This is a great example of how to do police work. You have the right to defend yourself. You can meet deadly force with deadly force. You just don't lie about it.

If a mag light was used, you don't lie about it. If a car was used, you explain why. If you need to slap, or open hand stun, someone about to spit on you, you explain why you did it.

It doesn't matter if there are a million videos out there showing what you did. You know your job and what you are allowed to do.

All of those pussies who say, "There's VIDEO," are idiots. If you do your job the right way, you can slam a cinder block on an offender's head to stop the threat. Learn your job.

Then when the idiot bosses like J-Fled and the idiot Alvarez come after you, you can sue just like the ghetto rats.

This is an awesome piece of work. This idiot places the coppers in fear of their lives by use of a weapon, this in turn jusifies the use of deadly force against him. No where does it say that you have to use your gun. Deadly force is just that, the tool used is up to the individual.
Good Job!

I first met judge Bourgeois when he was a judge down at TC. Loved him. He was the judge in my major room. He was fair and always consistent. Next up I had the chance to honor his court with several felonious hoodlums over at 51st st and as always Judge B was a hammer on those who decide to break the law. even when he had to find no probable cause he alwasys thanked the officer for good work and told the hoodlums he better not see then in his court again and on the rare occasions when he did see them again, WHAM, hammer time!!!! He minced no words on the offenders and let them know that justice will be served in his court and it always was. The only thing I dont like about him is the fact that he smokes, he needs to cut that shit out so he can be around for a long as time. Great friend to the honest and working police.

Couldn't flee with his drawers full of excrement which got all over the unmarked and I couldn't stop laughing when we threw him in the wagon! Still laugh at it!
