We haven't seen this many openings up for bid in years:

Looks like Area 2 is getting the lions' share. We fully expect the "super bid" to cover only those districts where double-digit vacancies have been posted and then there will be minimal openings posted thereafter until the end of the year. Rahm and Garry don't want anyone moving once they get assigned.

KJ is turning 60 very soon and is considering retiring.
GC is 55 and maxed out, possibility that he may go by the end of the year for the 55 and insurance.
Rumor is Capt TW from 008 wants to come to 003 to hang out with his friend the cmdr, and Lt PG - midnights in 005 has worn out her welcome and will go to 003 on 1st watch. Everyone waiting to see what the 2 popular capts will do!!!
There is no superbid. The superbid option was taken off the table by DTEB. DTEB got mad at the union for the "don't join any specialized units" remarks on the FOP website and decided to take it out on the P.O.'s from TRU and MSF. This is the only bid that is going to be posted. Let me say that again, this is the only bid that will be posted. All former TRU and MSF personnel have been advised that they should bid in this city-wide bid process. Any TRU-MSF that do not bid, or that are unsuccessful bidders will be "back filled" into the remaining openings after the transfer order is finalized. There is no superbid. None, nada, nyet. Get it? That is why all of the griping by the TRU-MSF people about the union not standing up for them. Wait it gets better, all the Sgt's and Lt's from TRU-MSF must petition an exempt to request them to a district or else they are just going to be placed into a district at the departments whim. No bid process what-so-ever. So if you don't have any whack, or you don't suck off a Commander, you are going to Area 2. This is not rumor, this is not conjecture, this is fact. PERIOD.

If u haven't already noticed.... with the additional cops in these districts, cops r on viewing more and more violence. hence on view shootings. once they fill these spots, look out for major action. those cops that came from these units, if u want to work, u will walk upon crime in action. be ready to respond.

Once they are assigned they can be dumped to any district in the city..MSF were promised by commander JR they could go back to their original district he lied. But why should he care he was taken care of.

The Union HAS to approve the SUPERBID, they DID NOT. The city had no choice but to withdraw that portion of the process.
Go to the Unions web page and they admit they did not approve the process.
I am no fan of DTEB, but it's the Union that screwed these guys over. DTEB wanted to open all "vacated" positions from the first bid in addition to all unfilled spots.
Go cry to Shields and Dougherty, they're the one"s who did a number on the membership.

as an fyi they opened the bids in part to gain management moves. they get 20% of the number of openings made for bid whether someone bids or not. occasionally the department opens massive bids just to gain the right to assign officers by managment. so my friends the dept just aquired 100 managment moves. Pretty sure its the same for sgts. Wonder if the dept had enough moves in the bank to make all the sgts moves they made on the last order? Stay safe out there!

Capt. TJL is the W/C there. He is the one that sat at his desk, in HIS brand-new station, meticulously compiled a list of all of the PO's on HIS watch that were on the medical, listed each and every one's ailment, brought it to roll-call and READ IT OUT LOUD TO EVERY OFFICER at that roll-call, in CLEAR VIOLATION OF A FEDERAL LAW.
Unless, of course, you feel like being subjected to that kind of violation, where NOTHING will be done to discourage that sort of behavior, and if you like having a vindictive, power-hungry, self-indulgent and arrogant a-hole as a W/C. Then, by all means, COME ON DOWN!

When all of the po's lwho went to tru and msf left the districts, did they worry about leaving the district short? Or the effect their leaving would have on manpower in those districts? I think not. So why is everyone so worried about them now? They volunteered to go, they were warned (by FOP, by more experienced coppers and by common sense) not to do it because the department could shove it up their asses in the future (and the future is NOW), so now we are supposed to feel sorry that they get stuck in 005 or 007? No tears from me. In the same way that they weren't losing any sleep over beat coppers running from job to job, I'm not going to lose sleep over their problems now.
When I went in the Army, a vet told me to remember one thing-NEVER volunteer. That advice served me well then, and should be remembered by all involved.

The guys and gals with low seniority, you will probably not get 008, looking at that list, 003 is the best option because your not getting into 002 either. 003 has good seniority and a po with 6 yrs can get anywhere from a 4a - 10b furlo. Just sayin'

023 is in for a big surprise. 10 par forms from afternoons alone. Good workers leaving means alot, the ones that stay will again drink Lemmers kool aid. Not a good place until management changes. Very clickish(sp) also.

023 Capt TL is the type that dont care, nor will it bother him. The other day, a visiting watch commander told Capt TL to go fuck off when told how to run his watch, then called Capt TL an ashole. It was priceless to hear. Capt TL just carried on like nothing happened. By the way that was when he was making out sheets for the next two weeks while he goes on furlough. He is a two face goof. Lemmer you are a LOSER.
023 Capt TL was heard and seen screaming at the top of his lungs, cursing at sgt G and reading him the riot act. Sgt G was running amuck, and Capt TL gave it to him disrespecting the sgt in front of many.Of course, the sgt just sits there and takes the humiliation like a little schoolboy. Capt TL doesnt care about his own "troops" let alone people leaving his watch. As far as he believes, its not his fault. Remember its "HIS" way or the highway.
Capt. and Lt. in 017 3rd watch are good. They take care of the troops and do the best they can. Couple of the dog-ass po-po's dont care for them, but most of us appreciate the whiteshirts on 3rd watch.
23 is breaking apart thanks to 3rd watch captain. He is right always and will.argue.to.that fact. He has no life but police work. He expects all to. Be the same. He's a tool.
Capt Hoot in 012..... nice guy, but we lost a better Capt last year so Hoot could come back from 010.
We miss you Capt GC.....
It was fun coming to work with Capt GC, now it's just a job with Capt Hoot.
