Crime Still Down; 3 Shot
- Three people were shot, including an 18-year-old man fatally shot in the chest, in an attack this afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
Also injured was a 17-year-old boy and a man, 87, who was sitting on a porch, authorities said. The boy was shot in the stomach and the 87-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the arm, said Chicago Police News Affairs [...].
The shooting happened at about 4 p.m. near the intersection of 70th Street and Parnell Avenue.
Police involved shootings aside, it's been a mess these past few days. Anyone got the totals for the heat wave so far?

no more like 8 shot. two more in 017, one homicide in 008 and at about 12am while the police officers were shot in 011 two other people were shot on homan in 011. so with your three you mentioned above its actually 8 people shot in less than 24hours with one of them dead... at least those are the ones reported in the news within 24hours. I think 7 had another one shot along with 003 and 004 but those I cant confirm.
If crime goes down anymore there won't be any one left alive. Will the last mutt out please turn off the lights!

Lucky 007 District 3rd watch has a 12 officer CTA team working, 6 officers on a abandon house team, 8 Officer robbery team to stop crime. Less officers on the street then before TRY and MSF detailed. Plus tact
don't have specific numbers, but I have been following the numbers since 13 Jul. Using only the breaking news website my numbers from 13Jul to 19 Jul are 46 shot and 13 fatalities. This is only what the breaking news site is reporting, I'm sure there are more, I have all the locations listed in the timeframe in this article

Not too far from where I grew up. That USED to be a great area once upon a time. Sad.
A total of 5 shot & one who died ;( in 007 Tuesday So I'm sure the # for the heat wave is going to be high

Grew up there St Tommy More,animals moved in and destroyed it,move along nothing new here1

Depends on if the porch is enclosed or not.
