Welcome Back Anthony!

We heard they held a "Welcome Back" party over in the County Jail for this idiot when he came back:
  • A former death row inmate who was exonerated days before execution was arrested Friday, accused of stealing deodorant from a South Side Walgreens.

Anthony Porter's 1999 release from prison was key to Illinois ending the death penalty this year.

The Chicago Tribune reports the 56-year-old was arrested and charged with retail theft. He's been ordered held on $10,000 bail.

Porter served 17 years for a 1982 double murder before evidence surfaced he was innocent, thanks to the work of a Northwestern University professor and his students. At one point in 1998, he was just 48 hours shy of execution when attorneys won a stay by raising concerns about his mental competence at trial.
A professor who has since been fired and whose e-mails have been subpoenaed by the State in regard to how "evidence" was obtained we might point out.

We also recall that one of the alleged "confessions" given to the Northwestern U people has itself been recanted, even as it was used to free a death row inmate. Does anyone know if it was the Porter-related "confession"?

It's ok whatever they do, they're crusading liberals, righting societies wrongs, even if it means the guilty go free.

Maybe the professor can take him in. He may even have a few "treats" leftover from his teaching days. "Treats". That's what he called the coeds he sent to 'interview' the alleged witnesses.

Come on, Anthony was just taking 6 packages of deodorant, you have to hand it to the man for wanting to control his stank. Probably he gwine to run the deodorant all over his stinky ass. Isn't that thoughtful of him? He wants to spare polite society the disgusting displeasure of breathing his foul stink.

Yes, SCC, all the witness statements used to free Porter and incarcerate Alstory Simon for the crime have been recanted. The main witness, Inez Jackson, recanted on camera shortly before she died. The confession itself was obtained by a guy named Paul Ciolino, working on behalf of the Innocence Project. If you heard how they got this poor guy Alstory Simon to confess, it would blow your mind. It was so completely illegal and coerced that it should never have been used as a basis to free Porter.

All this crap about Protess changing emails and using questionable tactics is nonsense. The state's attorney knows, Northwestern knows, and now the public is starting to know, that Porter's exoneration was a complete scam. All the evidence, and it is overwhelming, points to him as the offender in the 1982 murders in Washington Park.

A former Chicago Tribune reporter, Bill Crawford, has written a great report about the entire affair.

This is going to be a big story.

Unless he has been out committing violent offenses since getting out, I am unconcerned about him being out.

Every thing is personal. All of these crying towels who are against the death penalty would be singing a different tune if one of their loved ones was the VICTIM of these murderers. They would be screaming for blood. How sad the families of so many victims will never get any justice for their loved ones.

Two weeks before he was arrested for the double homicide in Washington Park, Porter shot a man in the head over a barking dog. He was known as a brutal enforcer for the gangs back in the early 80's. He has no business being on the street.

How ironic. I bet he got free deodorant when he was in prison.

----

And just for HA HA's. The new gu who took Anthony Porter's place in prison has claimed he was coerced by the private investigator who obtained his confession.(this is actually old news now).

What was the response of Protess (The Northwestern guy leading the such and such against Wrongful COnvictions)? "Preposterous" said Protess.

I guess when police take a confession it is coerced, but when an investigator for Northwestern University Center for Wrongful COnvictions takes a confession, it is indeed a legitimate confession.

Fucking maggots.

Protess is a huge scum bag. His students were idealistic idiots who, as liberals are prone to do, criticize the work of others but provide no solutions of their own.

How many people did they free? Now how many of the crimes did they solve? They say their "clients" are not guilty. Ok, smart asses. Then who IS guilty? Let's see you put those big brains of yours to work of finding the guilty party.

No? I didn't think so.

Now I bet millions of viewers would tune in to see America's newest reality TV show, "The Adventures of Anthony"

Most of the USA have never spent any quality time with someone like Anthony so it would be enlightening to see how people respond to Anthony shoplifting deodorant and then denying taking same and blaming it all because he is black.

I'd like to see some liberal with red plastic rimmed glasses from Evanston try talking sense into Anthony and to talk slowly and then convince herself that she "got through to him this time" only to have Anthony go steal a quart of vodka and get in a mood for lovin, you know?

Would be good for at least a few weeks. Yup, The Adventured of Anthony, IQ: 64

Here is a real deal account of what happened in this case from the absolute get-go.

http://blogs.chicagotribune.com/news_columnists_ezorn/2006/01/simon_says.html

It is a court filing from Alstory Simon.

Interesting part: Inez Simon (who came out to implicate her husband Alstory) now admits she lied on her husband. And it sounds like no bullshit, she really was "lying on him." She said her nephew was PORTERS cell mate and PORTER approached him to get his aunt to lie. All these rats knew each other.

This is a big deal. It really does seem like Anthony PORTER committed this double murder.

But I have been dupped before so who really knows.
