Steven Spielberg Called

Not to make light of crime, but...:
  • North Aurora police today released a sketch of one of two men who bound a woman in a home invasion Friday and stole a gold necklace from her.

A patrol officer was flagged down by a passerby about 9:15 a.m. and told that a woman was injured near Lincolnway Street and Elm Avenue, police said.

Officers found the 44-year-old woman with her hands bound behind her back with duct tape.

She had been in her home on the 100 block of Elm Avenue when two male suspects -- at least one with a gun -- entered through an unlocked door and struck her several times before taping her hands and eyes, police said in a release.

And this is the sketch they released:

Hollywood was immediately contacted:

Line ups are being held as we speak.

If it happened here it would be downgraded from a close encounter of the 3rd kind to one of the first kind. A la PSMVs becoming criminal trespass to vehicle to ensure that there aren't too many felonies on paper.

Aurora's sketch artist must have been off that day, so the chief had his 3 year old grandson draw up the sketch of the suspect.

The color photo is J-Fled as an infant. He won't "phone home" because no one will answer. He's "gotta run".

Years ago Area Four ran a sketch of a Male Black suspect in the Daily Bulletin. It looked like a cartoon character from the "Fat Albert" show. The only thing that saved the Detective from taking time was that the sketch was drawn by the Female Black Victim who was an artist.
