More Crime

And the weather just keeps getting nicer. We might have ourselves a bloodbath:
  • Two men and a woman were wounded in a Monday afternoon shooting on the South Side. The shooting happened about 3:55 p.m. in the 1900 block of East 73rd Street, said police News Affairs...

  • A teenage boy is dead and a woman was seriously wounded Monday evening during a shooting in the Albany Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side. The shooting occurred at 7:46 p.m. in the 3100 block of West Montrose Avenue, said police News Affairs...

Crime is down across the board though.

On 21 Aug, the SunTimes ran a fluff article of an interview with McMush about his first 100 days. In it, he took ALL the credit for a claimed reduction in crime by saying that "his strategies contributed 90% to the decline."

There's a problem....Yes, we are down YTD. But, actually there's been an increase since he took over.

Will he now take all the blame or how will he spin it?

Here's the real numbers-

Homicides YTD

2011 - 411
2010 - 422 -13 for a 3% decrease

Homicides under JFLED 1 Jan-15 May

2011 - 117
2010 - 134 -17 for a 13% decrease

Homicides under McMush 16 May-now

2011 - 294 +4 for a 2% INCREASE
2010 - 290

Corrupt Schools Boss Gets 18 Months’ Probation

In May 2010, 10 days after (Charles) Flowers resigned as part of an agreement with Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, Gov. Pat Quinn signed a law eliminating the Suburban Cook County Regional Office of Education.

Flowers, by the way, claimed he was going to root out corruption in local school districts.

Flowers, a Democrat, was elected in 2006, and Cook County gave his office a grant of $170,000 that wasn’t repaid.

Instead, a Cook County grand jury indictment claimed he paid $340,345 in salaries and benefits to office employees that was supposed to be used for paying the cost of teacher workshops and professional meetings.

He was also accused of loaning $6,000 to his sister and $9,000 to a girlfriend. His attorney would contend that the loans were eventually repaid by the two women.

The regional superintendent’s office ran up a debt of $1 million with Flowers in charge. The state auditor general, after looking over the books, handed his work over to the attorney general’s office.

"Illinois may be billions of dollars in the red and threatening to eliminate state mental hospitals, but cutting into bureaucratic waste is too horrible for Springfield to contemplate."

Who gives a sh*t?! Let them all kill each other for all I care! Worry about your own backyard and your neighborhood. Proactive policing is gone- thanks to the liberal douchebags and their groups like COURAJ. Thank all of them for pushing cameras and video recorders in the cops' faces while they were doing street stops, gang dispersals, and arrests-all because the citizens were so concerned about the police violating the rights of these drug-dealing, welfare scamming, gang-banging low-lifes. Instead of recording these thugs breaking the law and terrorizing the neighborhood, they want to indict the police for doing their job- unreal. And don't forget to thank the politicians for basically downsizing the entire police department and calling it "restructuring"- in the name of saving money. Yet, there was no "restructuring" or downsizing of city government in the administrative (aka rubber stamp holders) areas, e.g. aldermen. We still need 50 of them right?- NOT. And let's not forget those much needed raises, 5-12% for all the mayoral staff, in the midst of an economic crisis no less! Thank all your wonderful elected elite and your fellow citizens for the garbage you now have to live in Chicago-RIP.

If there were a UCR code for "stupid", there wouldn't be enough RD#s in existence to hand out.

The crime in Chicago's north side is increasing. Just five short years ago, places like 023, 020, 017, etc.... were great places to live. Now small pockets have developed that are real shitty. Even the 016th district isn't exempt. The criminals are not stupid. They are going to move to areas of the city that don't have as much police presence. Thus the chances of you being bothered or even caught are slim to none. And slim just left the building.

P.S.- Just think about this, the Gangster Disciples have a small faction up by Foster and Cumberland.

Well, not that the detectives are pissed-off due to what the deprtment is doing (or not doing) with them, maybe we will have some real numbers for homicide.

(i.e. - no more "death investigations" when a person is shot...twice...during an "accidential discharge" on new years eve....simply so the homicide numbers stay below a certain number, so the city's bond rating doesn't go to shit)
