Easy Weekend
Not for us - we're shorthanded. Easy on the shooting totals, but then again, the weather that doesn't have anything to do with crime is helping immeasurably:
- Two people were killed and three others wounded in shootings Friday night on the South and West sides, according to police.
And on Saturday, the press has decided they have to break up the totals into half-a-day segments:
- At least six people have been wounded in shootings in Chicago since 7 this morning, police said.

Pretty sad when 2 dead and 9 wounded with gunshots is a quiet weekend in Chicago.
I love the part when they read off like 15 shot and noone in custody.
Promote Sgts. first. Nothing sucks more than promoting a dick, then he gets immediately promoted to Sgt.
If you keep saying crime is down, the sheeple will believe it.
Oh, and it's for the children. That too.

I agree but there's not been any word or rumor of a dick's class. Just sergeants and lieutenants, which we don't need any more of.
Guess what, killing people in 010 and 011 is about to be banned....like any chance for an outdoor range.

Why is the South and West sides the scene of so many shootings and killings? Are there more guns there?
What if the city justs admits its mistake and starts a furious hiring of police officers. Promotions don't mean shit if there are POs to fill the vacancies.
The chill at least suspended the activities of the mariachi band that practices several days a week from about 1-3 AM until dawn on a porch 40' from our bedroom window.

No one in custody! Could it because the dics are getting treated like shit like rest of CPD and are extremely short handed? Close more areas yep that's the ticket!
This level of gunplay in rotten weather suggests summer will be a bloodbath.
It was almost freezing as a low Friday and Saturday night...what do they expect? Wait until we hit late May and June, when it's still 75 out at midnight. Will be 50 shot a weekend every weekend.

OT, but did anyone read about the Gold Coast robbery of a camera? It appears that Thug tourists are visiting our fair City and robbing other tourists! This must have something to do with the Mayor ,in the interest of fairness, welcoming EVERYONE to visit Chicago , regardless of their intentions.

no manpower now wait till after nato? this goiing to be a sucky summer for us....with nobody on the weekends. A shout out to the 15 dst coppers that came and helped out last weekend in 17dst. we were so low we had to borrow from another dist.
