- Like the Trayvon case, nothing about the 2005 shooting of Howard Morgan makes sense. Chicago police officers shot Morgan 28 times during an alleged traffic stop. However, it was Morgan who was charged with attempted murder, among other offenses.
Yeah, because he shot at the police. Seventeen times. His Glock semi-auto was in slide-lock when it was recovered. And since he was shooting at the police, that qualifies as attempted murder. Oh, and two officers (or was it three?) sustained bullet wounds from the shooting - can we explain that one? Because Mope-rah doesn't even mention it.

i showed up that night, after it was all over. those officers didn't go on any random killing spree for any black guys on the road that day. they were detailed to that district that night, saw a car driving down the wrong way blacked out with no headlights. right away, any cop would say that this sounds like a person looking to do wrong. the tru guys pull the car down and a gun battle errupts. the tru guys were in marked squads cars and in uniform. ole boy opened fire on the police and shot two of them. ole boy is lucky he didnt get hit 100x times with return fire. this had nothing to do with race and had everything to do with officer survival. end of story.

"Neutralized" means 2 things in my mind: If the target has no weapon I do what I have to do even if that means breaking bones and putting a man in the hospital. I make no qualms about it. Dude is going away with broken arms, legs, ribs. If I feel my life is in danger, is there a limit as to how badly I should hurt someone? Not in my mind.
Shoot at an officer and you will be "neutralized" - however many bullets that takes and whatever damage it may cause to the attacker - they must be stopped PERIOD. You don't shoot at Police.
Slide-locked indicated he emptied his entire clip - that's not an indication of "return fire" - that is a good indication he was able to get off 17 shots with his weapon, meaning, he started firing first.

The sgt stops me in the middle of signing in by yelling "OFFICER" and tells me I can't. He then proceeds to tell me that I can take a day for signing in for her. I understood and explained the current situtation. He did not listen nor want too and while he was dealing with me I SAW him writing P.O.'S information that were late in order to deviate them. I am never late to court but for those that do come to court late even a little please be on time to impound of you will catch a day or an earful from the sgt. Avoid the the hastle. Somes court are better than others but with this sgt here he will gig you in a heartbeat. Thank you and be safe.

"Instead, her parents and hundreds of her fellow classmates gathered at her favorite park Monday night to have a birthday celebration for the teen who was stabbed to death after walking into a burglary at her Indian Head Park home in October. Kelli was a freshman at Lyons Township High School (South Campus) in Western Springs.
"Five months ago, many of us were standing at a candlelight vigil because Kelli's life was cut short. Today, we are standing here in celebration of her life," said her mother, Brenda, at the town's Sacajawea Park, which was decorated with white ribbons and balloons. "Kelli was all about bringing joy and happiness to the world..."
"John L. Wilson Jr., 38, is accused of repeatedly stabbing O'Laughlin in the neck, back and chest at her home during the afternoon hours on Oct. 27. Wilson, who is also accused of stealing the girl's cellphone and sending taunting text messages to her mother, was arrested about a week later after authorities tracked the phone. He has a status hearing in Cook County court April 23."

Not a cop but a black man born and raised in this city. I have never been arrested or had problems with the police. Why? My dad is a retired paramedic, and he raised us that when the police stop you, do what the fuck they tell you. If you have done nothing wrong, nothing will happen to you. My neighbor had his place broken into while I was home downstairs. The cops knocked on the door and I let them in. Without asking they just started walking through my place like they were looking for something, again, I did not mean mug them or say anything wise ass. I answered all the standard questions, gave up my info and it was over. Many kids today think otherwise, and that is who trouble starts. This guy, I was not there but still, if you have nothing to hide, show your badge and you go home alive. The wrong move is to shoot at cops. Period.

so...what......the court sgt. will write some stuff up, it may wind up back at the unit, it may or may not end up in some admin. bullshit.....if the court sgt. sgt. can revive yours', or someone else's, family members' who died of cancer or heart disease, then they might be important...until then, they can write up court deviations, and....take them to hell...

It's not that deep. African American is a term used in an attempt to have some sort of ethnic title with dignity. Real simple, you may be white but generally know if you're Irish or whatever. You have some country, even a region or town to identify with. We don't. Africa is a huge continent, not a town. I prefer Black personally and that's why I capitalize Black but not white. White means nothing..Irish, German, French or whatever ethnicity is real, you don't need white. I only have Black. Other terms I prefer are American, Chicagoan, and my people are from Arkansas and Mississippi.

Everybody is trying to ride the Florida Trayvon train. Even this case in Florida stinks to high heaven. In todays Tribune (about 8 pages back of course) NBC and MSNBC got caught "editing" the police 911 call that George Zimmerman made concerning a suspicious person...Trayvon Martin. The media of course edited out the most important part of the call and made it look like Zimmerman was just a racist jagoff going after a Black man. They of course made an apology but the damage is already done. Same thing with the "video" from the Sanford police garage when Zimmerman was brought in in handcuffs. The grainy video doesn't show much detail and the media proudly stated that there was no cuts or bruises on Zimmerman face or head. So therefore Zimmerman attacked Trayvon. But some good truthful bloggers got an enhanced video copy and you could see gashes on the back of Zimmerman's head and marks on his face....from a fight. This entire case has been tried in the media with one side of the story. That one side is slanted against the truth.

Not a cop but a black man born and raised in this city. I have never been arrested or had problems with the police. Why? My dad is a retired paramedic, and he raised us that when the police stop you, do what the fuck they tell you. If you have done nothing wrong, nothing will happen to you. My neighbor had his place broken into while I was home downstairs. The cops knocked on the door and I let them in. Without asking they just started walking through my place like they were looking for something, again, I did not mean mug them or say anything wise ass. I answered all the standard questions, gave up my info and it was over. Many kids today think otherwise, and that is who trouble starts. This guy, I was not there but still, if you have nothing to hide, show your badge and you go home alive. The wrong move is to shoot at cops. Period.

Your point makes no sense. As you stated,Ireland is not a continent, it's a country as is Ivory Coast, Zimbabwai, South Africa,etc., in the continent of Africa. There are numerous regions /towns countries in Africa to identify with.
