Police-involved shooting a little while ago around 24th and Western. No cops hurt, but no other details. Warm weather coming up this week, so be extra careful.

I thought an officer got injured but I wasn't sure.

The animals are getting bolder and bolder. One of the bad guys dead and all in custody. One officer did get injured. Good to see Pat Camden on the news giving the POLICE side of the story!

warm weather coming just in time for nato scummit--- the other night in a north side district there was only one sgt on duty in the entire district for 2 hours and he was the dss--- about 25 cars out there with no supervisor on street--- the early 3rd watch sgt was gone with no late 3rd watch sgt on the sheets--- the early midnight sgt was late--- tac team worked adjusted hours so no tac sgt either--- good thing nothing happened because the dss wouldn't have been able to respond because that would have left the district station with no supervisor....

Prayers and speedy healing to the injured Officer. Thanks for your courage and service. Thank God you escaped life threatening injuries. That being said, if there are deep bone bruises, they can be very painful, even more than a fracture. A "minor" bruise caused by a vehicle injury, if deep, can cause painful impairment of use of the limb for many months, sometimes almost a year. It can feel like a break but have a much slower arc of healing.
As for media- Another puppet media headline that should have read "Attackers attempt to murder Chicago Police Officer with their vehicle". Once again, Chicago media leads with a failure to headline story with truth. We see the same type of vehicle attack on CPD over and over and over again, and the media treat the attempted murder as if it were the "by the way" part of story. If these cowards had attacked a reporter with a several ton vehicle, it would have been in their headlines for days.

Pat Camden did a nice job on the WGN 11am news with the reporting on behalf of the department. He said they "had an ample amount of opportunity to give it up and the kept going, they wanted to fight." The general public needs to know that police are out there and are going to do what they need to go home safe.
Pat Camden says that "the offenders could be clearly seen moving around, they continued loading goods into the getaway vehicle inside the building even AFTER they knew that police had the place surrounded, uniformed policemen were banging on the store windows yelling, etc."

Channel 7 News reports TWELVE wrong-ways since late December. They say ISP is forming a working group to see what can be done.
I dunno -- this society has become nothing more than a jar of bugs with a kid shakin' it as hard as he can.
Speeding driver in NYC just clipped a divider, damaged a tire, lost control, and went over the high jump, 80 feet down, landed upside down in Bronx Zoo property. Eight dead, three generations.
Tomorrow, something else.
I work in 011 and the 010 district officers did a great job. My thoughts is with the injuried officer and the officers that shoot the offenders.
The only sad thing is about 10 minutes after an officer involved shooting (If I remember correctly) beat 1021R (yeah I called you out because you desire it) asked for lunch. Whoever is on 21R your a piece of shit and you should be written up. Going down on lunch minutes after your fellow officers shoot a kill offenders. Who does that??? Wait you do.

Ch 7: how about some truth in your reporting. There are no new/more police on the street. What you have is one officer being counted as many as 3 times. Down town changes the name of a unit and counts those officer's as more police. Shame on you, where the truth in journalism??

Bet she won't do that again.

I think the increase in crashes can be attributed to the increase in illegal aliens with poor driving skills, and no knowledge of the rules of the road. Also, these illegals show no courtesy while driving, a reflection of their personalities.
We need to make our politicians enforce our laws and start rounding up the illegal aliens and deport them.
And a big fuck you to you liberals reading this, who think no person is illegal, you live with them and then tell me that.

I noticed that the TV and radio news were giving everything BUT THE NAMES, so I dug it out.

I don't think so. Tobias has been telling everyone for several years that he was leaving when he turned. 50. He turned 50. I'm sure he has another jobber lined up already. You just don't walk away from a job that pays you $162,000 per year + benefits because you disagreed with someone over some nonsensical bullshit. Trust me, it was planned.
