Remember when Rahm promised 1,000 more officers on the streets and his handpicked superintendent took 500 officers (who were already serving on the streets) and put them back on the streets? And didn't McSpeaksOutOfBothSidesOfHisMouth tell everyone that TRU, MSF and similar constructs WERE NOT the answer to entrenched crime and disorder problems?

- McNumbnuts LATEST and GREATEST tragedies, um sorry, strategy is to amass narcotics, fugitives and others into one ONE district and, "Just make arrests." Not work on what you we're doing but to become the "new" TRU or MSF without the deterrent those units did.
Each day is a different district, so ALL the shit you did the day before goes out the window. Don't worry if you found a spot to work, don't worry if you work files with other tact teams, we'll get to those next week.
Oh yeah, we still want the same activity you did BEFORE we implemented this latest and greatest tragedy, er, strategy for the 7th, 8th or whatever time this year.
In fact, we've just seen an order detailing tact teams, narcotics, gang enforcement to "hot spots" this weekend to do buy/busts and reverses for three days straight.
So let's get this straight - units are not the answer because they don't stick around to build rapport with the community, but taking units and sending them into these troubled neighborhoods while telling them to "generate numbers" is.....what exactly?

These companies have been doing mass layoffs as part of their moves! We have less jobs not more -- the jobs like the nations wealth is/are just being concentrated into a certain area within the state.

The IDES is producing stats and reports down to the congressional district level so when the next corporation does a mass layoff and is rewarded with a tax break in return -- we can cover up the mass layoffs all by moving the company from one district to a new district and point at the job growth in the new district and how wonderful it all is "saving or creating these new jobs" ...lol..

Rumor has it the reason that OCD is detailed to the districts is because of August's homicide numbers. Appearantley McSecondcomingofjesus lost his mind when these numbers became public in the news ,especially on the national level. But just so you know the old buy bust isn't the only thing that narcotics will be doing. My source tells me that they also want pissers , drinkers , gamblers or any other type of quality life nonsense to lock people up. Also , on Sunday the Supe will hold a press conference and tell everybody how he just saved the world ,due to this silly mission being run under his direct supervision.
As citizens we all should be angry as hell because of this post. The ones who should be especially angry are the families of the victims of this senseless wave of crime.
TRU/MSF were not perfect, they were a bit over staffed and could have been paired down a bit, they were young hair gels who thought they were supercops. But, They were good at what they did, stopping homicides. There is no magic bullet that will stop every homicide, but the young guns in TRU/MSF did a damn good job of it. Sure they generated numbers, they generated revenue, but they also kept people alive. They can't take all the credit, but they were a big part of it. And they were shit on by a carpet bagger, charlatan, snake oil salesman who couldn't lead an army of ants to a picnic in the middle of Grant Park.
Now there were a lot of naysayers and negative comments on this blog about TRU/MSF throughout their whole existence. They were called "hairgels", "total revenue unit", "mobile stroke force", etc. and they were put down and ripped at every turn. Now that some of the primadonna "specialized units" have to start doing what the "hairgels" in TRU/MSF had to do they are crying for the hairgels to come back. "This work is beneath me." "I am too important to do a reverse or a street corner sweep." To you all, the Snake Charmer and all of you crybabies out there, I say "Reap what you hath sowed." It is a bitter pill that you must now swallow. The hairgels are gone and now the bodies hit the floor. The total revenue unit is gone and now someone has to make up the money that is lost. The mobile stroke force is no more, so now someone has to produce some numbers. Oh well. Sucks to be you. I am riding my beat car, answering my calls and could care less anymore. My two hour drive, each way from home to work (that's four hours in my personal car for those of you who are math challenged)has turned me into "a dog." Want crime to go down? Implement immigration laws much like Arizona wants. You'll see a million people head out of town and we will still have more then the 2.7 million they claim live here. With that will go a ton of DUI's, hit and runs, and these same people will take their 5 shithead anchor babies (which they depend on the police to discipline) and be gone. Think about it, half a million shitbags gone and more parking! Tax payers would not have to foot the bill to educate illeagals as well! Simple solution really- so crazy it just might work!
Rahm is executing what Daley began toward the end of his too-many-terms: extreme cutting back of the people who do the job.
It doesn't matter if it's the police, fire, City office workers, graffiti removers, library employees--it is fewer and fewer of all. Fewer workers, less salary/benefits but less gets done. The managers and supervisors stay but the workers decrease.
The crime has even leaked onto Michigan Ave the past 2 years. He doesn't care about anyone unless they are in the extreme upper echelon and most of those people have their own security. It's dangerous but Rahm doesn't care since he wants to balance the budget.

So you want to take all the people out of "special units"? Your going to have to find a lot of them first. The only time some of them show up is to get on the paper. There are way to many parchuted people in some of these units. Now your going to ask them to show up, actually do some work of their own, good luck....

That's because they completely screwed themselves. The ONLY way they will ever get more than 100 officers for a unit is by reverse seniority 90 day details but even then that would mean admitting they were wrong. Gotta find a way to make it look like they knew WTF they were doing.
