Again - Why is This Asshole Out?

  • A man paroled two months earlier on two weapons charges traded gunfire with police in the West Pullman neighborhood after forcing a woman with three young children in her SUV to drive him about a mile from his home, prosecutors said.

Anthony Maltbia, 21, was ordered held without bail on charges of attempted murder of five police officers prosecutors say he fired upon, as well as aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

  • Maltbia made it to the home where he was registered for his parole and electronic monitoring, but left before police were able to search the home, prosecutors said.

[...] At the time he traded gunfire with police, Maltbia was on parole for convictions in gun-related cases from 2009 and 2010, according to prosecutors and court records. He had been released on parole in April, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Not one, but two weapons charges. Not only on parole, but on electronic home monitoring. Wasn't that supposed to be for "non-violent" offenders? Is anyone paying attention out there?

The politicians are monetizing this stuff for personal gain I think. How else would you explain it? Building their empires with the tool of fear.

McCarthy blowing in the wind about bringing criminals to justice because he made a bust. Big effing deal. Put it on the front page and print it. Meanwhile buried somewhere inside is the news of who knows how many let right back out in the hood.

Who we kidding?

Someone want to answer this? Quinn? Alvarez? Evans?

Gov. Quinn: "We'll have to take a look at that to see how we can blame the Mayor. I just wish we could have gotten a conviction so I could quickly given him an EARLY RELEASE.

Mayor: "As long as he takes it to the alley...who raised you to ask me that question? Do they vote?"

Ineeda States Atty: "I will be giving him $500.00 of my own money to advance his artistic talent like I did with Herby 'I ain't be in no gangs!' When the "chief" flashes gang signs, he's actually celebrating and honoring first responders everywhere. Also, he will be designing the new city sticker along with his friends from his after-school club!"

Chief Judge Evans: "Chief to Chief courtesy. What?"

Andrew Dice Clay: "Hey!! Your ass- oles hanging out! Put that ding away! OHH!!!!

See ya late kid,
Mister BodyBag

We have reached the tipping point, in which due to the combination of an overly liberal court system and lack of funds, violent crime is being treated like minor offenses. The revolving door justice system will ensure that violent crime rises. As it does so, combined with ever increasing taxes, decent people and businesses will begin leaving this state in droves. As that happens, the tax base will decrease, leading to more tax increases to attempt to maintain the state/couty/city's finances. That will speed up the rate of people leaving. We are well on our way to being the next Detroit, and unfortunately this trend can no longer be stopped. The final state of the greater Chicago metro area becoming a lawless warzone may take some time to reach Detroit levels, but it is inevitable at this point.

it is not surprising to hear this in chitcago. our democRAT politicians could give two shits what happens to police. that is why chitcago is moving in the wrong direction like it has been for as long as i have been alive. anyone who isn't tied down to chitcago should start their new life and family elsewhere. unfortunately i am way too invested into this shitty city much like many others who are trying to leave.

FYI!!!!!!! this guy along with many others beat the home monitoring system. THEY use this system as an Alibi all the time and it can be easily defeated. DO NOT ECCEPT HOME MONITORING AS AN ALIBI!! If you need details call Area 2.

what more valuable investment do you possess, if not your life, health, and the lives and health of your loved ones?

after all, what can you actually take with you, after departing this mortal coil, other than love?

and what could possibly be of greater value, to those you love, and who remain here, than having known your love for them, and their love for you, was, is, and will always be, of greatest value, beyond measure?

"This bastard should be in the jail awaiting his trial."

There is a pattern forming here.

Fewer prisoners = fewer mouths to feed/fewer to take care of/fewer lawsuits.

At some point, this will = fewer corrections officers (or whatever they're calling jail guards these days).

All of this = less money spent by the county.

Public safety takes a back seat.
