As Predicted Here Yesterday (UPDATE)
- Six people were shot, three fatally in several South Side shootings this afternoon, police said.
The most serious shooting occurred at 5:30 p.m. on the 9400 block of South Rhodes Avenue, police said.
A 28-year-man and a 30-year-old man were both shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs...
And a week of 70's on tap. The rain may help, but there are plenty of scores to settle up before the snow flies. No better time than the present.
UPDATE: Sunday led the way with 3 dead out of 14 shot according to this Tribune article.
The Sun Times has the weekend totals at 7 dead, 21 wounded - a respectable weekend number for any of the summer months.
McCompStat is mysteriously silent after the carnage and Rahm? Rahm might not even be in town.

If you want things to start changing McCarthy has to go. Nobody on the department from top to bottom trust him. This will not change until he is gone! Until he is gone the police will do their job as if it is black and white. Its the gray area where police work is done and results are accomplished!

It's sad to see multiple dead, but in Chicago it is an everyday (every weekend) occurence.
Brookfield, WI makes national news with three dead and four wounded. Huge news.
What about Chicago? 5 dead? 10 dead? 20 dead? The media doesn't seem to care. What will be the number needed to run a story?
Evidently the media views that life is cheap in Chicago and not worth writing about it - or televising it.
So five or ten dead in Chicago over the weekend is no big thing.
Would concealed carry help at all in Chicago? Would a better SA's Office help squelch crime by demanding stiffer sentences?
No - taxing bullets will be the real big crime stopper here.
They should be doing a sketch on Chicago and Cook County on Sat. Night Live.

Why should the Runt care ? He's just passing thru Chicago on a planned future move to the White House.
Let me propose a question to everyone. How many of us actually have any respect, actual respect for McCarpetbagger or, for that matter, a majority of the command staff? I mean actual respect, not just because they are supposed to be in charge. I mean tried and true loyalty and respect that has been earned.
Now, how many of you think that this lack of respect is affecting our ability to do our jobs and our effectiveness?
That's what I thought. Hey Garry, maybe if you tried earning OUR respect your policies and procedures might actually get some serious consideration and might actually take hold.
Just a thought.

Those neighborhoods are what they are because when decent people moved in you let the real estate agent scare you and you fled. Stay in your suburb and do not try to be CPD or CFD.
