FYI, a PO in 011 got into a tussle latnight with an offender who pulled a gun and attempted to shoot the officer. Last I heard all involved were good, except for the offender who had to be transported to the hospital. Be careful out there guys and girls. The savage will do anything, including hurting you, to stay out of jail.

The man killed in the other article mentioned was an off duty Metropolitan Water Reclamation Police Officer, and a friend. Only a couple years on the job with a wife and kid, killed by a taxi cab: terrible news indeed.

first of all, hope our brother in blue is ok and will heal quickly. and i wanted to send a quick shot-out to oak lawn pd and hometown pd who responded quickly to an armed robbery call. two shitbirds did a couple of armed robberies in 008 and thought they were safe when they made it to oak lawn. olpd scooped em' up with an overall great job by district 008. shotgun recovered. great job to all and continue to be safe.
