Englewood Police Shooting
- Police shot one man in the chest and took two others into custody after responding to a report of shots fired in the Englewood neighborhood early Thursday, authorities said
Officers with the Englewood District’s incident team arrived at the 6700 block of South Morgan Street about 2:15 a.m. and saw a vehicle speed off into an alley, according to a statement from police News Affairs.
What's 007 up to this year? About a dozen police involved shootings? More? Watch yourselves.

No manppower, rights of the police being taken away, department GO's and procedures lessoning the ability to do our jobs, Supt/Mayor ridiculous ways of policing and combating crime and a terribly broken cook county judicial system all equals the streets arent ours anymore, it belongs to them and the message they send out is "f" the police, loud and clear.

I want to thank the mayor and our politicians. As of now, police manpower is being flooded into high crime neighborhoods. While the safe neighborhoods are depleted with manpower. In the 16th district 15 years ago we had about 300 to 350 officers. Now we are down to about 160 to 180. That figure is the same with many north, northwest and southwest side districts. So now more gang bangers, dope dealers, hoodlums, etc.... are slowly creeping their way to the nice neighborhoods. Why? Because there is less police heat coming their way. If you were a career criminal what would you do?

Today McCarthy had a press conference to justify the purchase of $100,000 microphones that pinpoint gunshots. McCarthy said that each murder costs the city $5 million dollars on the low end.
$5 million.
When we record our 500th murder in December McCarthy logic dictates this will mean a cost of $2.5 billion to the city.
On the low end.
That would mean that at least 35% of the entire city budget is spent on murders. The solution? Spend more.
So the real question is if there is a gunshot in the ghetto and the police mic hears it, is the gangbanger still dead?

Maybe, just maybe, it's time the cops who will do almost anything to transfer into those sleepy hollow districts wake up and start doing the kind of policing that's being done in the high crime areas. It's no secret that the clouted and sons/daughters of the connected rule in those districts. Maybe they should have been sent to some of the higher crime districts early in their careers, so that they could have learned a few skills about how to be real cops.

while the results of the Pension board election are disappointing, the turn out is STUNNING! 25% care enough to fill out a ballot mailed to their home, about an issue directly effecting them UNTIL THEY DIE! Also $1.5 BILLION dollars spent on political presidential campaigns so far. No money for better schools. No money for clinics or health care. But $1.5 BILLION dollars to run fear campaigns on TV, Radio and print about what the other guy is going to do to you if they get elected.
$1.5 BILLION dollars spent on BULLSHIT. An extension of the $55 million dollars spent on a city park tribute to an ex mayor and his wife. The mayor by the way cost us $80 million on a lost fire fighters exam discrimination lawsuit.
Heh, now what? We gonna record that $1.5 BILLION dollars in the GDP and tell you how the economy is growing??
WTF? How did anyone benefit from that money?
I'll bet if you trace the money back it originated with Washington borrowing trillions of dollars to prop up failed corporations that then turned into campaign contributions by those corporations instead of creating jobs and restoring shared wealth by raising EVERYONE'S standard of living.
It pisses me off. In this day and age of high speed computers and networks that enable live stream video broadcast to the entire USA for pennies on the dollar we have these clouted politicians blowing $1.5 BILLION dollars for a political campaign to get their message out.

McCarthy is full of shit. That murdered mutt will never earn even $1 million in his entire lifetime. He (or she) will instead cost society many times that in LINK card expenses, SNAP card, Section 8, Medicaid, Guv'ment cell phones, and various other guv'ment sponsored giveaways.

Then there are costs of arrest, prosecution, incarceration and of course, cost of public defenders.
I feel that every mutt that is erased from the gene pool early enough is a decided benefit to society.
