Just Asking, But...

Isn't a "Code of Silence" when everyone shuts up about a misstep, misdeed, or misconduct?

How can anyone in the media seriously portray this as a code of silence when they play the tape every five minutes, the "cover-up" involves hundreds of phone calls and other city employees, and the plaintiff's lawyer is the one who released the tape in the first place?

I believe the abbate subject should be left alone, not covered at all, zero exposure. The more you talk about it the more it sounds like we, as aforce, have to explain it. And it was just his doing no one wales. Fuck hom, he gambled on his future and lost. Lesson to be learned, no one in this city government, state or federal is gonna give a copper a brake, so don't give the a reason or satisfaction to put you in the same boat.

I had the honor of working with the officers who responded to this job. Honestly, these are two of the most dedicated, conscientious, hard-working individuals to ever wear the uniform. Ask anyone in the 25th District. And anyone who has done this job the way it is suppose to be done, can relate to the way some incidents spin out of control, and take on a life of their own. To those of you out there who think this was a cover up, let me assure you, it was not. P.M. and J.K. are as straight-arrow as they come. If I ever need the police, I hope they are the guys who show up. Rick Sherman, late of the 25th District.

The fat drunken jagoff never landed a punch. They all missed her head. She bounces right up and is yelling at him. She did not go to a hospital until a couple days later. He was named on the case report as the offender. He was arrested by CPD. He was charged appropriately with a misdemeanor after CPD consulted the states attorney. The charges were upgraded to felony after her attorney released the video to the media. A judge and the states attorneys office agreed to a plea of guilty to a charge of simple battery.

I had the good fortune to work with J.K. and P.M. (25th district 3rd watch). I was a p.p.o. six years ago. With some officers, they took shortcuts. I wanted to speak up but it would make matters worse. (some idiot glued my locker shut and with black electric tape covered my lock completely. Plus they did other things.). So I kept my mouth shut. Then finally one day I worked with J.K. and then the next day I worked with P.M. Let me tell you, both of them are fine dedicated officers. Both of them place extreme care and precision when they are assigned jobs. I learned a lot from both of them. They are both model employees.

REASON #34 TO QUIT THIS JOB AND LEAVE CHICAGO.

CHA-CHING, CHA-CHING..

" Black Chicago firefighter discrimination lawsuit tab twice as high as expected. Almost $80 MILLION DOLLARS of our tax money pissed away"

Don't worry though... Mayor Rahm says he'll just borrow the money to pay for it. It's all good.

What's that? OH HELL NAW, are you retarded? The $55 million dollar Maggie Daley Park money is safe. We can't touch that. Just borrow more, put it on the taxpayers credit card and use the debt as a crisis later for social health care and pension cuts and tax rate increases.

You peoples have to learn to live within your means and stop going nuts with these entitlements that you worked for and earned.

F--k your healthcare bills getting paid LOOK AT THAT PARK EH? Niiice..

What kind of interest are we gonna have to offer on $80 million dollars of bonds to pay for this fiasco?

A conservative 3% interest rate is an additional $240K for the first year alone no?

In other news.

Mayor Rahm would like you all to know that:

Nokia to move 150 jobs from Itasca to Chicago office.

No he's NOT CREATING JOBS don't get excited. It's like the Motorola ordeal. They are MOVING JOBS. There will be no opportunities created but we can add these to the number of jobs created or SAVED like it means something to the working class joe.

Losing $80 million dollars due to the clouted political frauds far outweighs the lousy 150 jobs being moved and presented like they're a huge boom to Chicago's economy.

Gonna have to raise that cigarette tax again at the rate the Downtown Tower of Bullshit is pissing money away.

Check out the list.

$80 million for the Black fire fighter discrimination lawsuit.

Another $100 million I think it was for that mentally ill girl that was busted at Midway Airport then released in the hood wearing provocative clothing, ending up raped, kidnapped, and thrown out of the 7th floor of a housing project window who now is a vegetable. Yeah the downtown Tower of Bullshit still has that gag order in place to keep from people talking about it while they try to scam and delay the victim out of any money.

Then we have the 90 occupiers that were busted on park curfews currently under appeal.

All this shit because of political ego's. Thinking that they can make up the laws and twist the language to do as they please. The clout!

It's about time the city write up some more crap laws to challenge the US constitution so that we can throw even more money into lawsuits and courts don't you think? How about some more gun regulations or something?

Well here it is... off topic. The department has gotten word from the Secret Service and the FBI that there are viable threats that if Obama looses this election there will be mass rioting in the ghettos of Chicago and every other major city... Why the secret service and FBI had to give a report about this is beyond me... I probably could have told you that... anyways thats not the point. We already know time off is restricted for election night but now downtown is putting together a plan because of this government briefing. Word is that all tac teams, incident teams and units will be working nights that night. Days off will be cancelled if your in a unit however, if your in a unit and you ARE currently on furlough then you are safe.. They will not be attempting to mess with anyone on furlough... I dont think they could anyways. Nothing really new here that days are cancelled and everyone working nights but the NATO gas teams will also be up but on standbye with teams stationed on the west and south sides. Its not official yet, but im just writing this for anyone who might be rdo and is on a team or unit and have plans that day to plan accordingly. Look for the order to come out Nov 1st.. Nothing like last minute. Im predicting that if Obama does loose it will be a pretty good night for looting. Some suburbs are already being asked for support units like in 2008 election. If I hear anything else I will pass it along. If the sh*t does hit the fan that night and your in the ghetto dont be a hero... let it burn, then clean it up after.. be safe boys and girls.

Who in the Department hierarchy gave the order for the background investigators to look the other way especially when he was known to have stepped on his pee-pee real hard befor coming on the job?

Who in the Department hierarchy hand carried his file through every step of the hiring process?

Did some of the "dese dem an' dose" guys from the trades reach out to a friendly alderfool or friendly gold star?

"Who sent ya?"

*Johnny Rat-A-Tat an' Joey Bagadonuts sez hey*

"When can ya start?"

Jeez... Clouting in nitwits better suited to clean the shit-shacks in the forest preserves is what has fucked this job up.

And what finally happens when decent and honorable men feel no desire to take this job? Such as what is happening now?

"You Cops are just mad it isn't 1960 anymore."

Why do people take such delight in selling Policemen short?

It's much more complex than "1960" damnit.

Leroy Martin once said that Policemen "don't fall from the sky."

Heh... Smartest and most insightful thing he's ever said but that's beside the point. Besides, somebody surely spotted ol' Leroy the first four words and cued him on the last one...

We're enduring a propaganda war in the midst of a contract negotiation in whice VERY POWERFUL FORCES are seeking to destroy our ability to bargain collectively, perpetrate wholesale diversion of our pension fund because it's a "free" pot of money beyond THEIR CONTROL and the very notion of such is driving THEM crazy. That, and walking us backwards to circa 1880 in regard to compensation, equipment, work environment and officer safety.

As much as we collectively wished people would cease and desist doing stupid shit?

As long as the human element is involved (as it is in every other field) there exists the possibility that something stupid WILL be done by someone.

"You Cops are always doing..."

And for you joyful haters and shit-talkers enjoying the mean season against The Police?

Once the classic iteration of CPD is finally done away with and privatization has air and opportunity to make ugly babies with the possible invocation of the nth degree interpretation of "home rule," the hell to be paid will be paid by you.
