You Go Chalkie!

  • A father of four was on his way back from his morning ritual of getting his cup of coffee and morning newspaper when he was shot and killed, becoming the 436th homicide victim of the year in Chicago, surpassing the city’s murder count for all of last year.

Carlos Alexander, 33, had just come back from the store a few hundred feet from his home in the 7900 block of South Escanaba when he was shot about 10:30 a.m. Monday.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died, police said.
Rahm decides to focus on the bullshit numbers that CompStat has been producing, none of which are based in reality:
  • Mayor Rahm Emanuel said today that it's "not good" the city has surpassed the homicide total for all of last year, even as he sought to keep the spotlight on what he said have been successes in fighting crime.

"We have other milestones," Emanuel said. "One is, overall crime is down 9 percent in the city, has seen the largest drop ever. Second, we're tearing down the 200th building today where gangbangers and drug dealers hang out."
Crime still isn't down - it's under-reported as citizens give up waiting for police that never arrive in a timely manner as we're busy cleaning up a 25% increase in dead bodies and assorted maimings.

But hey, we have exactly the number of police we need - according to the mayor and supernintendo.

How long until someone claims "that's racist"?

Shot at 10:30 in the morning on a Monday? WTF?!! But crime is down. The midget and McMumbles say it is. And the brain-dead citizens don't say a word. The alderman will rubberstamp everything 9.5 sends their way. The democRATS will all be re-elected...and nothing will change. Welcome to Chicago, Illinois.

Put it in terms that these people understand. Put it in dollar values.

It's been widely reported that each homicide cost the city $400,000 in costs. 436 homicides is $174,400,000 for the year so far.

To put is another way.

THAT's THE EQUIV OF THREE TOTALLY USELESS MAGGIE DALEY MEMORIAL PARKS.

Thank you Mayor Rahm for pissing the taxpayers money away then demonizing us all for living beyond our means, demanding handouts, entitlements, like pensions that we all have EARNED.

Hey boys and girls. Shared sacrifice and all that bullshit you know? We all have to sacrifice for the ex-mayors wife greatness. Fifty-five million dollar Maggie Daley Park while we all can go to hell.

HEAR NO EVIL -- SEE NO EVIL -- SPEAK NO EVIL.

Instead of the "Serve and Protect" on our emblem we should just use the above.

If someone dials 9-1-1 at a residence see if you can punish them for doing so. Write them a ticket or see if there's a reason that you can call out a city inspector for as punishment.

Hey. How much different is that logic that putting a "violence tax" on ammo?

They already got my $700 I-phone and you want me to wait all afternoon for the CPD to show up so I can lose my job too!

Eff you mayor. Yeah crime is down. Sell it to someone else.

Preckwinkle must of gave out the order to Rahm. Look we're not going to lock them up cuz it's gonna blow out my budget. So there's no use arresting them and adding more cops will just make matters worse. Releasing them on P/R bonds is already overloaded.

Yet there was also an increase in 911 calls this year over last. Just less paper being written, due to the lack of police.

"SNITCHES GET STITCHES"

That's What's Working!

Not COMPstat. Not the Mayors plan. Not the Top Cop's plan.

STATISTICS 101 -- Correlation Does Not Necessarily Equal Causation.

Just because a crime isn't being reported or counted doesn't mean that the crimes have stopped happening.

The street gangs have so much power in the hood as a result of the political failures no one is calling the cops anymore for fear of retribution.

THE TERRORIST GANGS ARE WINNING!

YES this is your so-called crime is down WIN.

These b.s. statistics are being misinterpreted as a success by McGoofy and Nine Point five.

Cut the number of beat cops by another thousand and see how the gang intimidation goes.

Tighten the gun control laws more. Disarm the taxpayers and place them at the mercy of the street gangs and watch the 9-1-1 calls drop.

The taxpayers have lost hope of CPD's ability to arrive in time to intervene when they are threatened by a thug. It's not the blue shirts fault, look higher up.

These clowns are living in an altered state reality world.

Other crimes being reported as down is because everyone is holding their position in the box trying to contain homicides and shootings. There's no-one left to handle the "Broken Windows" stuff that the golden ones label.

WTF?! And the media just accepts this blatant manipulation of words and statistics?

The last time I looked 79th & Escanaba was in the 7th Ward.

The folks living there have the misfortune of being unable to look to their elected public officials for assistance.

7th Ward alderman, Sandi Jackson, resides in Washington D.C. with her children and her part time husband.

County Commissioner Bill Beavers is preparing for his forthcoming trial in Federal Court.

Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. is hiding out at the Mayo Clinic with a bad case of Fereralist.

Judge Brim, who also is from this area, is crazy but running for re-election.

Could it be if the neighborhood had elected public officials who looked out for the voters rather than themselves they might have less crine.

via ChicagoTribune..

" In the hours after Chicago's homicide count for this year passed its total for all of 2011, more shootings on Monday left at least two others dead and six people injured. "

=======================

Two more homicides == $800,000 dollars

Six others with GSW == $312,000 dollars in ER and hospital cost on the taxpayers.

Guess we'll just have to raise some more taxes to pay for it eh?

Grand total tonight == $1,112,000

Over a million bucks baby!!

When you squeeze your taxpayers for a million bucks while using the violence as a tool, and while playing the victim, it would be easy to slip a few thousand off the top and direct it in "other" areas no?

When you're dealing with seven digits and beyond, I mean really, who's watching the money that close? What's a couple of K?

Don't stop the violence! No, you're messing with the cities revenue stream. We need that violence to create new taxes..

Oh my just look at this budget! Whatdowedo. What do we do?

If homicides and shootings are going up and let's just assume that all other crime is going down -- then maybe, just maybe the thugs are upgrading their activities after a few weeks in the joint for simple robbery/burglary/rape or auto theft?

The pro's in the joint are teaching them where the real money lies while they are in the joint and the double bonus is that "snitches get stitches".

I mean why rob someone on the street for chump change when you can change your target to a higher value one and then it becomes mind your own business nobody saw nuttin' when it comes to the police.

Sure you may get shot but you chances of sitting in jail are a lot lower if there's no witnesses.

So while Rahm and Gary play there shell game of numbers we have an increasingly violent society that is growing and the city leaders are telling us look at the auto thefts they're down..

A man has died after plunging an unknown height from a 55-story high-rise in the Near East Side neighborhood, authorities said.

The man, whose name authorities have not yet released, died after landing on the 100 block of North Harbor Drive at about 8:45 p.m.

***

A "shaken up" female driver was taken to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital afterward, the Chicago Fire Department tweeted.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/chi-police-male-dies-after-plunging-from-lakefront-highrise-20121029,0,6727202.story

Now why would a man want to jump off a 55 story building in this WORLD-CLASS GLORIOUS SANCTUARY CITY with all these high paying jobs and opportunities? Didn't he realize that there is going to be a $55 million dollar Maggie Daley Park being built too? Boy-oh-boy

Also, "Shaken up" == "TRAUMATIZE" like a war vet on a battle field.

Too bad Rahm closed all those mental health centers. I think she's gonna need one. Welp...he's off to the next campaign fund raiser I'll bet.

Don't worry crime is down, dispatchers are downgrading the priority jobs anyway, guy gets hit in the face suffers brusing and swelling by first offender, second offender takes his cell phone, they both run off a cta bus. Victim tells cta bus driver to call police, 1st offender then returns and hits him again, incident happened at 1215, it doesn't get dispatched until 1245, because somebody made it into a theft job. Priority 2B. Victim wanted to leave but since the incident happened inside cta bus, the bus driver insisted he waited for police so she can cover herself. So who do you blame. But in the long run I would tell you that we will get blame because we didn't respond sooner.

This is a very thoughtful reply. Senator Kirk is a good mainstream Republican who is not held hostage by the radical right wing (you know the ones who are obsessed with abortion and gay marriage). I wished the Republican party could isolate and then kick out the fundamentalist Christian crazies. Then the Republican party would attract more voters.

Mayor TwinkleToes claims crime is down in all categories except murders, or homicides, or whatever they're called on today's date.

Of course, crime is going down because we ALL know cases are being reclassified.

My question is this....if cases such as burglaries, are being reclassified to criminal damage to property, then how can crime be going down in the CDTP category? (I'm just using that as an example).

They are hiding crime somewhere, somehow, and I think I know how they are doing it.

I was looking at a list of reasons you can UNFOUND a case--there are a lot of reasons. One of them is that you can't contact the victim. Another is that there are no leads or evidence.

So here's one way: As a detective, let's say I submit a "SUSPENDED CASE REPORT" for approval. The sgt. could read it, and decide to reclassify it to UNFOUNDED, then approve it. I never, ever check my APPROVED cases. If they're out of my "OPEN" box, that's all I care about.

Detectives SUSPEND cases pending contact with victims, because they've sent a letter or left a message....and also due to the lack of evidence or investigative leads....the cases are SUSPENDED to get them off the books for COMPSTAT. If the victim DOES happen to contact you, or the once in a blue moon you get a hit on prints back, you can always reopen it.

But let's say, 2 months after you submit a SUSPENDED case, someone in CMO, or someone assigned to do so, goes back and looks at the SUSPENDED cases, reopens them and UNFOUNDS them.

I might be wrong, but I believe when you UNFOUND a case it is off the books completely.

I've heard from at least 2 different sources, that there are detectives whose job it is to do just that--to go back and read the SUSPENDED reports where no contact was made, no new evidence or leads surfaced, (or whatever), reopen them, and reclassify them to UNFOUNDED.

If Part One crimes are being reclassified to Part Two crimes, then Part Two crime categories should be going up, yet according to McLosingHisJob, crime is down in ALL other categories? I call a BULLSHIT through a megaphone.

This was on the 'Chicago Breaking News':

"During City Council budget hearings last week, McCarthy argued that some cops liked being in the old mobile task forces because they had little accountability and could "run around the city playing cowboy."

"That's not good policing, and that's not what modern policing should look like," he said."

If he doesn't want coppers playing 'cowboy', then why is he encouraging coppers (aka Pilgrims) to jump off their horses (out of their cars) and contact card all of the Indians?

Oh, I forgot, we're not "Stopping" we're "Engaging" as that new lt. said on the news last week.

Pretty much. That's why I don't support either party. I don't like Pres. Obama's liberal positions and I don't trust Romney because he's got fake written all over his face. Neither one of them is going to change the values I instill in my children and how I raise them. No matter which one of them is in office, our country is in bad shape and thinking we're actually going to rebound is a joke. Manufacturing jobs are not coming back because our labor is more expensive. It does not take a genius to figure that out. Government work is still where its at for the average joe whether in police, fire, the water dept, public works, garbage..whatever. All of them are tax payer funded jobs. We aint putting out enough engineers and scientists to make all this crap we're buying. Our classrooms are full of scientists and engineers though, they just weren't "made in America." I don't blame them. If I was from another country I'd send my kid to school here to so they can out perform the American kids whp are busy getting drunk, fighting, partying, and making youtube videos. As a nation, we have lost our way. Except our ideals change, which doesn't appear to be happening, we can move on over and give up the throne.
