Quinn "Most Unpopular"

  • With only one in four Illinois voters approving his job performance, Gov. Pat Quinn is the least popular in the country and would lose in head-to-head pairings against two of three Republicans eying his job in 2014, a newly commissioned survey found Thursday.

Just 25 percent of voters in Illinois approved of the work Quinn is doing, while 64 percent disapprove, the Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling firm found. That level of support made him “the most unpopular governor [it] has polled on anywhere in the country this year,” the polling firm said.

If a general election were held today, Quinn would lose to state Sen. Kirk Dillard (R-Hinsdale) by a 44 percent to 37 percent and to state Treasurer Dan Rutherford by a 43 percent to 39 percent margin, the firm reported.

You know what this mean? Primary Battle!
  • Beyond measuring how Quinn might match up against potential Republican opponents, the Public Policy Polling survey also showed the governor is vulnerable in a primary, though no Democrat has stepped forward and openly declared he or she is planning to take on Quinn in 2014.

The firm found that Quinn would trail Bill Daley, the ex-U.S. Commerce secretary and former Mayor Richard M. Daley’s brother 37 percent to 34 percent, and the spread would be even wider if Attorney General Lisa Madigan took on Quinn, the firm said.

In a hypothetical matchup, Quinn would trailer her by a 64- to 20-percent deficit.

This of course, is what Madigan has been grooming Lisa for for years - The King of all Thieves leaving everything to his daughter. That way Madigan succeeds where Shortshanks failed (at least so far).

Sad thing is that he will probably get re-elected anyways. The level of stupidity in this democratic state is ridiculous. We are drowning in debt and yet they want to pretend that all the entitlement programs have nothing to do with it. We need welfare reform. The only way to begin that is to bring to light all the politicians and their cronies who are profiting from the entitlement programs. That is the main reason it isn't happening, too many political parasites cashing in on the social parasites.

This State needs to get with the other 49 states and legalize CCW's. Quinn needs to go. In the meanwhile, I urge citizens to protect themselves when in the Mag Mile area no matter what the knuckleheads in IL, Cook Cty and Chi say. The killers have firearms and knives so law abiding citizens should as well. And law abiding citizens should take gun classes prior to arming themselves. Remember you never pull a gun unless you are in immediate decision of being attacked.

OT: When ugly little daughter Lisa Madigan comes around sniffing for votes next election, all officers should please remember this:

---
By Steve Schmadeke
Tribune reporter
5:00 p.m. CST, November 30, 2012

The state’s fight to strip disgraced former Chicago police Commander Jon Burge of his pension was revived Friday by an appeals court that reversed a Cook County judge's ruling and said the state's top prosecutor could challenge the pension board's decision.

Burge is serving a 4 ½-year sentence in prison following his conviction last year for lying about the torture and physical abuse of numerous criminal suspects.

After he was convicted, the police pension board deadlocked 4-4 on whether Burge could continue to collect his $3,000-a-month pension. Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan sued, asking the courts to find that Burge that should lose his pension.

“Taxpayers should never be forced to foot the bill for a convicted public official,” Madigan said in a statement issued this afternoon.

Burge’s attorney could not immediately be reached for comment, but he has previously said he expected a lengthy legal battle over his client’s pension.
---

These political maggots collect pensions far in excess of any salary they ever made and they are spending much more on the fight to strip this guy of his measly $3,000 a month than the pension is even worth. But little ugly Lisa did nothing about the Cook County States Attorney (Richard M Daley for newcomers) who knew what was going on and did nothing and was never even deposed in this case.

Sickening.

Brady should have won in a landside, but no he thought the vast majority of voters were incensed about those issues. Here is a clue Republicans, the governors seat is yours for the taking, the issues are the economy and the level of corruption in this the most awful state, county and city in the U.S. Run someone who is not tied to the past someone who can be inclusive and not exclusive!
