Yeah SCC, what is so different about this one? An inquiring mind, who would not dare ask anyone from our media force,, wants to know.

OT: Got to wonder about priorities, sometimes. A detective has a heart attack in the line of duty (foot chase/arrest), but it gets no press at all.

Speaking of NORMAL......

WOW!!!!

Are we working in 017 on 1st watch or where are we?

The sheets are being done with love and care.....the zone sounds cheerfully sober...the desk is a nicer...people go on furlo and next thing you know we are in a happy place!

Thanks to the COMMANDER for coming to roll call on friday to address our sanity.

Sometimes you don't realize how bad you have things until they are GONE!

Anyone in 017 got any curfews? LOL

Enjoy it while we can we know it won't last long.

Assaults, batteries, retail thefts, robberies, damage to property and vehicles and of course wildings . . . Saturday nite was out of control in 1 and 18. A wagon load of mutts locked up for "reckless conduct" after terrorizing the tourists on Chicago ave. The radio was non-stop and there simply wasn't enough boots on the ground to keep up. Never seen or heard it so bad. Merry Xmas Rahmulites!

According to Compstat data through 11 Nov, there were:

451 homicides (can I use that word?)

I added what I could find from various articles since then, and according to my calculations, through last night, the total number is:

464 homicides

I love how the media has shifted from naming the number of people SHOT to the number of people WOUNDED. Wonder who influenced that?

Add to list of neighborhood northside problems forest glen community affected by hoodlums robbing, assaulting, and grafitti at Wildwood elementary. Stop sending resources elsewhere when they commit a crime in there own areas they go searching for a vulnerable location. Northside needs to increase patrol!!!

My numbers might not be complete, gathered as they are from other sources, but year to date as of 11/25/2012 I show a total of 477 murders in the City of Chicago.

The Supt. was just on WBBM saying crime is down and that Chicago is a model for the rest of the nation.

I live in 018 and would like to thank all the cops that work around here. You can't walk in any direction without seeing some thug harassing some tourist who has no clue what is going on. I appreciate that when I approached you guys by the red line entrance told you what I had witnessed you went right after the guy. Oh yea, not a liberal and this is not I asked for. Thanks

Sorry....I meant INJURED.

If I was shot, I would want people to say I was SHOT, not INJURED!
