How Many Heads So Far?

So this State Police thing. We're happy to have the help, but after all the hoopla when it started out, we haven't heard a word about it for a week or more now.

How many outstanding warrants was McCompStat talking about?

How many have been cleared? Is the backlog gone? How much money is this costing per warrant seeing as how the State had to house a boatload of troopers up here.

Is it having any noticeable effect on crime? Because we just passed fifty homicides for the month of August - the first month with over fifty all year.

They may not be all that effective, but boy do they look all spiffy in their state trooper uniforms. Very sartorial.

Fifty homicides. Think how many it might have been without the presense of the troopers? Sixty, seventy or more?

Don't give the politicians (that includes the Superintendent of course) any ideas.

State Police always look professional . Never saw a State Trooper in a soiled , mismatched uniform , no dreadlocks or scraggly beards . Captain ,XO , Merit Commanders = no supervision . The blue shirts run cpd , have no respect for white shirts or general orders .

My sarcasm detector went off. Lighten up on the troopers. Do you think they enjoy being used as pawns by the politicians and being away from their families, working in some Chicago shithole? If Rahm and Quinn had any sense they would hire enough police where this smoke and mirrors bullshit wouldn't be necessary.

CPD. I thank you all very much for stopping countless times on and off duty when I'm on a traffic stop but really we don't have the man power to help. Seriously we barely can man our patrols it's embarrassing. We need to find some better leadership - Grau has been disappointing. You can have him back after the election.

What about all the cook county sheriff cars i see riding around and showing up on hot calls. Making traffic stops. There are so many police cars from all over tripping over each other in the SMZ's designated by downtown. Its sick the amount of money thrown around. Summer surge, VRE, CTA, traffic units, area sat teams, etc.

Thank you ISP and CCSP for your help.
All police families , vote in nov. 2014 and February 2015 . These politicians are allowing Chicago's Finest to patrol the streets and alleys as one Man cars , paying police to sit in the box , small area , not leave to assist other officers or citizens that need help .
Look at your north side , southwest side ,Pilsen neighborhoods , one beat car , other neighborhoods have 5-8 cars on patrol in areas the size of heigwiish , Beverly , mt greenwood . Vote , vote it is not safe for one man cars to patrol this city . Carry concealed a one man car is only 10 minutes away .

You mean enforcing uniform standards. Cleaning/polishing your shoes, washing and ironing/pressing your shirts and slacks should not require "training" for most adults. You either care or you don't. Your bosses either care how your shift looks or they don't. I'm a military guy and I do it for myself. I also noticed that when I don't, other military guys I work with will bust my balls...just not to the people who don't care. The exception is a guy who went to ISP for a local academy. He shines his boots and wears shirt stays.
