No True Bill

In what is probably the most dissected police shooting in history, a Grand Jury did not bow to the obvious machinations of the Holder Justice Department, the traveling grievance-mongers and the naked threats of violence and delivered a just finding after months-long hearings, hundreds of witnesses and three autopsy reports:
  • A grand jury in St. Louis County on Monday declined to indict the Ferguson police officer who shot and killed an unarmed black teenager in August in a case that touched off nationwide protests and cries of police brutality.

St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch announced the decision not to indict Darren Wilson Monday evening. A grand jury of nine whites and three blacks had been meeting weekly since Aug. 20 to consider evidence in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, 18. The panel met for 70 hours and heard from 60 witnesses.

McCulloch stressed that the grand jurors were "the only people who heard every witness ... and every piece of evidence." He said many witness presented conflicting statements that ultimately were inconsistent with the physical evidence.

"These grand jurors poured their hearts and soul into this process," he said.
An amusing side note - Obama gave a statement saying, "We are a nation built on laws." The irony of this statement in light of his constant disregard of the law, his "executive orders" usurping Constitutional roles and his administrations constant felonious behavior is completely lost upon the media sheeple.

If the prosecuter wanted to nip peoples suspicions of injustice in the bud, why didn't he conduct the grand jury inquiry like they normally do? Why did this one need to be conducted any differently than any other officer involved shooting? It looks suspicious from the onset. Wilson should've been afforded an opportunity to clear his name without all of the theatrics. I think the manner with which he let things unfold, especially announcing the result of their findings at night, only fueled the negative response from the public.

A theme that kept surfacing by those who could not accept the verdict was that police need more “training” when working in areas of color. Where is the concern for the “training” or upbringing by his family which led up to this heated mess? Hey community leaders and civil rights activists, how about you back into your neighborhoods of color and tell members of your community to obey the law, stop the looting, stop the shooting, stop heating up the community via arsons, act civilized and have respect for authority namely police officers after having been caught committing evil deeds.

As for the theme that the suspect was unarmed, the potential for disarming the police officer is an ever present threat to the officer’s personal safety. All law enforcement interactions have the potential for a gunfight since officers bring their own duty weapon into the arena. Get disarmed and get killed. Many a brave law men and law women have made that ultimate sacrifice when their duty weapon ended up in the hands of their adversary. It sounds cliché, but is better to use it than lose it when the bad guy has the upper hand in a relentless violent physical attack when you’re on the losing end. You have every right to self defense and to use the force necessary to mitigate this threat.

This is not a racial incident, but rather a criminal’s individual behavior and poor choices that escalated an arrest incident into a directed physical attack against the person who dared to challenge his prior successful strong arm robbery of a local merchant from the neighborhood store of Swisher Sweets for his blunts. Confrontational actions have resulted in dire consequences for both the perpetrators and law enforcement. Keep your guard up since nothing is routine and complacency can cost you your life.

No one in the media feels sorry for the cop. What a twisted media we have. I was watching FOX CABLE NEWS when they announced the verdict and I switched back and forth between them and MSNBC. The legal analysts on FOX said the Prosecutor did an excellent job in explaining the whole situation and events. The commentator on MSNBC ripped him apart. Depending on who you watch, you could get a totally different read on the "justice" in Ferguson.

I found MSNBC's commentary disgusting. VERY biased (and inflammatory).

As far as the looting last night - when did stealing gin and rum become the universal symbol for protesting a bad verdict???

Sorry, but I thought the riots could have been quelled a LOT faster. No one said you can't protest, but as soon as you start burning and looting, that's when you tell everyone to clear the streets.

They should have put in and enforced a 10 or 10:30PM curfew. They had the Guard right there, they could have rolled them out.

As for Chicago - what a joke. The protestors marching around and the police marching along with them. WGN thought it was "good policing". I thought it was a perfect example of showing how small the department is that they have to march along because there are not enough guys (YES - guys) to fill up all the corners of the street. To me it showed how small the department has gotten.

This was SUCH an overblown case. This thug was no kid. He is bigger than most of the Chicago Bears. Before blacks - or any minority- complain about the police, they need to obey them when told to stop, put down the gun, and or freeze.

With all the media attention on this - you wonder what is NOT being discussed in the media that is important?

Not a LEO, JAFO

Now IF those alleged witnesses that came forward with phony eye-witness accounts that fueled the first riot, then later changed their testimony at the Grand Jury when confronted with the fact that it did not match any of the physical evidence are prosecuted for lying, only then will justice fully be served.

"Hey, why let the facts get in the way of one's determination to loot, shoot and riot?"

According to various reports, President Obama delivered a speech on the subject without bothering to listen to a word concerning the results of the grand jury investigation.

"[W]hy didn't he conduct the grand jury inquiry like they normally do? Why did this one need to be conducted any differently than any other officer involved shooting?"

Because President Barack Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and the Reverend Al Sharpton intervened in the process and tried to politicize it for their own advantages.

The only way that Michael Brown was a victim of police brutality and racial injustice would require that all of the physical evidence and the eye witness facts be suppressed and ignored.
The Huffington Post is doing its damnedest to distort the truth on this nonissue.

A thug beat a LEO and went for his gun and got shot dead. End of story.

Naturally the decision becomes the latest excuse to loot, burn and attack Whitey cause "Whitey is racist". If there were more Black cops in Ferguson this would not have happened. If the DA was Black this would not have happened. If there were more job opportunities for Blacks this would not have happened. If there were more Black teachers… blah, blah, f**king blah. No one seems to get that not too long ago Ferguson was majority White. That's one reason why the police force is majority White. Another reason, people need to stop pretending doesn't exist is the following: How much can you lower the standards for hiring law enforcement ( or anyone, for that matter) before you might as well just start hiring based on game show criteria like Let’s Make A Deal? Doesn’t having the intellectual ability to skillfully and correctly do a job matter? I think it does and we need to reverse the havoc created by those who think it doesn’t. If you want societal advancement for all, the best and the brightest man needs to win. Period. Why? Because only the best and the brightest create the society all want to live in. Don’t believe me? Take a look around the globe. No one is rushing to move to any nation other than a Western Nation. NO one is rushing to move to Mexico. NO one is rushing to move to India. NO one is rushing to move to China. NO one is rushing to move to Liberia.

Has anyone bothered to ask why so many Whites moved out of Ferguson? I wonder if it had anything to do with why Whites leave any area that no longer has a culture in which they feel comfortable. In other words, a culture only Western man can create. Sure are a lot of people out there who whine that Whitey is racist yet they follow him wherever he goes. Imagine that. Hey Western Man, ya gettin' the picture yet? Sure hope you do soon. The clock is ticking...

I heard a lot about disrespect. The parents were disrespected because the weren't told early enough, even though the whole world waited for about 7 hours for the announcement. The protesters disrespected by Police in riot gear.

How about the respect involved in diving into a Police car, punching and officer and fighting over his gun.

The CNN legal analyst declaring too much evidence was introduced; We want a trial where some evidence might get suppressed. Another declared that Wilson should have backed off AFTER being attacked in his car, because "it was just some cigars, who cares".

It sure didn't sound made up and anyone with over a few years on has heard plenty of made up stories.

I don't see how the Feds have a case.

Michael Brown's tox report was positive for the THC of marijuana. Brown comes off as a reasonable officer doing his job having gone through the ordeal of his lifetime. This is no Rodney King bullshit. I see no civil rights violations. But the AG might see it differently.

There will always be "moderates", "thoughtful conservatives" trying to "reach out, find "common ground" with the cultural Marxists, criminal mobs.

As an ex-prosecutor, this is a fairly easy call for me. With substantial evidence of justification for the officer's actions, as much as some might second-guess it, and with other evidence pointing in so many directions with so much variance in its reliability, I use the grand jury to compel the testimony I can't get voluntarily. I sort through it myself and announce that I'm closing the investigation. There is no need to leave anything for the grand jury to decide -- unless my own evaluation shows that there is enough evidence to prove the officer guilty of some crime. In that event, I instruct the grand jury that under the law, probable cause exists to support an indictment, so the grand jury should return the indictment. And they return it.

None of this hiding behind the grand jury. We use the grand jury as a buffer for the citizen against our power to bring charges, but the reality is the grand jury is more of an investigative tool than a buffer. I wish the Ferguson prosecutor had just made a reasoned conclusion, whatever that might be, and then stuck with it, whether that meant presenting or not presenting. That would have been more intellectually honest.

Funny there was no mention of his criminal arrest for second degree murder nor his social posts with his want to be aspiring associations with the notorious L.a’s Crips criminal street gang. There is a photo of Brown dressed in red with a hand gesture commonly used by Crips to identify their criminal street gang affiliation. This was not some cute kid on his way to grandmama's house as initially reported by the media. Realistically, this is a gangsta thug who realizes that he is about to catch a strong arm robbery case.

They looted the Ferguson Market and Liquor for the third time since August. This time they are burning it to the ground.

I wonder if the owner will take the hint?

11/25/2014 12:33:00
There is a lot of money to be made selling liquor in the black community. Insurance will pay for the loss and then it is back into business. And, if anything like the south and west sides, the arab store owner can also sell bad meat and expired dairy and buy stolen goods.

Thank you to the media for inflaming this as much as they could. And, thanks to MSNBC for putting out information that was distorted to make things look even worse. I always watch FOX and MSNBC for their commentary. Some good hosts on both channels. But the description of the investigation, grand jury process by MSNBC played directly into the hands of the radicals who keep claiming the process was rigged. They were made that the prosecutor presented all evidence to the grand jury. They wanted only incriminating evidence presented and an indictment sought automatically. They left out the review by prosecutor before charging, preliminary hearing and then grand jury and not the process used in this case of an investigative grand jury. Tainted presentation the entire evening.

Because it is a racist institution that inflicted great bodily harm on Michael Brown, causing his death?

>>> SCC said: "In what is probably the most dissected police shooting in history,...." <<<

(Grin) SCC, maybe or maybe-not.

Either way, another famous or as some might say, infamous, 'Police Shooting' that will give the Officer Wilson / Mike Brown Shooting a run for its money as 'most dissected' is none other than, 'The Gunfight At The OK Corral' and the subsequent Earp - Holliday Trial for murder.
----- It was a reliminary hearing actually, and those charged were Virgil Earp, Morgan Earp, Wyatt Earp and 'Doc' Holliday. -----

The Earp - Holliday Trial: An Account by Douglas O. Linder (2005). It's a good read and not that long a page or two.

It's *funny*, but the more things change the more they stay the same: i.e.:
+++ The Earps & the Leading 'Law and Order' Citizens of Tombstone were Republicans.
+++ The criminal Clanton Gang were democrats.
+++ The Sheriff, Behan, was a corrupt democrat politician.

How about Mike Brown's step-father being charged with inciting a riot. He is on videotape telling the crowd to
"Burn this place down", and then they did burn it down.

The verdict was announced during prime time TV hour while the order was given to the troops to stand down when it comes to the media.

Interesting!

Maximum publicity as intended.

Like someone wanted the rioting to be highly publicized in order to incite even more unrest the following night.

The main stream media is in position to win the so-called hearts and minds for the political apparatchik now.

Talk about not letting a crisis go to waste eh?

Expect more draconian measures with freedoms, and civil rights to be taken away as they "don't let the crisis go to waste"

See..see what happens when we allow free speech?

See what happens when people have the right to bear arms

See what happens when people assemble without permits.

Use the crisis but who caused the crisis to begin with? Not Micheal Brown. Not Darren Wilson but the events that lead up to it.

Economic conditions a result of illegal immigration for one. Gun running to drug cartels by our own leadership for two. Bailout and protection of corporate executives and bankers creating the hardships.

All of it a setup for division of society. Divide and conquer just like America has down in so many foreign locations. Ukraine, Syria just two recent examples the M/O is the same some will conclude.

Black American comedian, social commentator Chris Rock had the best take on incidents like Ferguson MO.

Just pass on Christ Rock's commonsense advice and Black males will not get their arse beat or worse by the police:

http://youtu.be/uj0mtxXEGE8

Chris Rock – How Not to Get Your Ass Beat by the Police

(Presented for fair comment, protected by the 1st Amendment)

Here are some of Chris Rock’s key points:

[Chris Rock]
Have you ever been face-to-face with a police officer and wondered, “Is he about to kick my ass?” Well, wonder no more. If you follow these easy tips, you’ll be fine.

[Chris Rock]
First, obey the law. Laws are made for a reason; Think of them as hints.

[Chris Rock]
You’ve heard people say, “Man, I wouldn’t do that shit if I was you.” Well, here’s some of that shit: Car Jacking, Armed Robbery, Arson, Selling Drugs, Buying Drugs, Stabbing, Shooting.”

[Chris Rock]
You know, you’re probably won’t get your ass kicked if you just use common sense.

[Chris Rock]
If you jump a subway turnstile, you might just get off with a warning from the police; but, if you jump a turnstile carrying a loaded gun and smoking a joint, then, maybe, you need your ass kicked.

[N.W.A – Fuck Tha Police Music Plays]

Here’s a no brainer, if you are listening to loud rap music turn that shit off. Blasting Fuck Tha Police while getting pulled over by the Police is just ignorant.”

(YES)

[Chris Rock]
Stay in the car with your hands on the wheel.

[Driver Of The Car]
WTF you want mutherf^cker?

(NO)

[Chris Rock]
Unless you want your @ss kicked!”Chris Rock]

[Chris Rock]
Now let’s review:

Obey the law.

Use common sense.

Stop immediately.

Turn that shit off.

Be Polite.

Shut the fuck up.

Get a white friend.

And last but not least.

Don’t ride with a mad woman.

If you follow these simple pointers, you probably won’t get your ass kicked by the police.”

In my lifetime on the CPD, at least three Chicago Police Officers had a confrontation with "unarmed" offenders. In all three cases, the unarmed offender became armed when he gained control of the officer's firearm and killed the officer with his own firearm.

After each murder, I and many of my brother and sister police officers quietly attended their funerals and paid our respects. There were no riots, looting or protesting about how the offender shot and killed an unarmed police officer. None of them had three autopsies performed. There was no U.S. Attorney or presidential message consoling the families of the officers. We allowed the justice system, which most times moves very slowly, to run its course and in one case is still running.

Rest In Peace P.O. James Camp killed 09 MAR 99.

Worst President Ever Period

Looked like a kid who didn't get his way but was forced by his parent to say something.

His face said it all, his tone said it all, his choice of words said it all.

This man hates the police.

A "constitutional lawyer" who doesn't understand the basic tenets of the Constitution. Or perhaps he understands them but just wants to destroy them.

Only 12 people were privy to every piece of evidence and they made their decision. How dare anyone ever differ in opinion from the absolute leader of the liberal left.

Just as hippies put flowers inside the rifle barrels in the 1960s, Officer Wilson should have put flowers in the fists of Mr. Michael Brown, forcible felon.

We are a nation of laws. There is still a major problem between the police and communities of color. Yes we are a nation of laws, and unfortunately the statistics show that communities of color are having a hard time conforming to them and this leads to violence against others, violence against the police, disrespect on all levels. The problem is Mr. President is that there are many members of these communities that do like and trust the police. And it is their voice that should be heard, not the thugs.

This was not victory for law enforcement. As long as we have this influx of idiots in our government they will enable the asshole to be the asshole. This President does not care what happens in the world. ISIS, the Ukraine, Ebola, China, Iran....all secondary. Look out in the next two years, he will make an example out of a policeman yet.

And what of Darren Wilson? Probably will have to change his name and move out of state. Another working cop thrown out in the cold all to placate the asshole's warped sense of perception.

WRONG. All this mayhem was caused by the criminal choices made by a felon under the influence of marijuana, who had just committed a strongarm robbery, who refused lawful police orders, then chose to batter a police officer and wrestled that police officer for the officer's gun.

Questions that have no answers:

1. Michael Brown's buddy says we should stand up for “All the black youth who've died for no reason”. If we stand up for them, who will stand for the black youth who DID die for a reason? And what reason (s) were those?

2. Those of you who looted or smashed your town's windows, set fires, etc, how exactly did that do justice to what you argue shouldn't have happened to Brown? Are any of YOU inclined to vandalize other peoples' property and steal from them?

3. The police are too militarized? Sorry, when we're outnumbered by “people” swinging bats and throwing bricks and stones, tear gas and rubber bullets are called for. And you bring Molotov cocktails - that shows malice aforethought and then it's all bets are off!

4. Any of you who think we should be able to shoot to wound have undoubtedly never shot at any kind of a moving target. Have you been trained as to use of deadly force? Didn't think so.

PS to Al Sharpton. Stop calling this non-violent, this is an excuse to burn and loot and commit other crimes. Go away quietly please. Just go away.

I wonder why the Brown family, the lawyers, the outraged Rev Runs never address the fact that Mike Brown had just committed a strong arm robbery, battered a police officer and attempted to disarm said officer all in the minutes prior to being shot and killed??
I wonder why. Could it be that it would mitigate their mantra about their innocent "child" being gunned down by a WHITE officer.?
