The New York Post reports this amusing little story from the Big Apple:
- Mayor Bill de Blasio ordered city lawyers to stay silent about a groundbreaking lawsuit to keep bootleg cigarettes out of the Big Apple — because it came as Hizzoner was downplaying the illegal cigarette sales that led to the ill-fated police arrest of Eric Garner, The Post has learned.
The city Law Department drafted the civil racketeering suit the same week that a Staten Island grand jury did not indict NYPD cop Daniel Pantaleo in Garner’s chokehold death, and it was quietly filed in Brooklyn federal court on Dec. 9.
The Law Department drafted a press release boasting that the suit “is the first of its kind brought by the city against an out-of-state entity for supplying cigarette traffickers,” sources said.
But City Hall suppressed the news, ordering the Law Department not to put out the release, according to the sources.
So de Blasio's administration was preparing a massive RICO suit against a tobacco seller for circumventing the New York tax code at the exact same moment that de Blasio was ripping the NYPD for enforcing the so-called "minor offense" of selling loosies. But who's taking the beating in the press? Oh yeah, the NYPD for enforcing the law.

It's the same old story... People are voting for the party that will give them free housing, free food, free cell phones, free drug money, free schooling and expects nothing more in return than their votes on election day to keep them in power.
The people who can't be bothered to get off their ass on election day to vote against this horrible shit will, ultimately be the ones who pick up the tab for it.
Slam the liberal Dems all you want, but they have discovered the formula to forever live fat and sassy off the corruption and greed that other politicians refuse to ferret out. And when someone TRIES, the race card gets played and all the liberals scream for political correctness. Until someone goes after those pricks and impeaches them for it, there will be no end to it.
Someone in Congress with some balls needs to step up and start saying something when Obama or Holder or Gutierrez, or the Congressional Black Caucus starts slamming conservatives and American values and our nations military and first responders or when they start talking about amnesty for criminal invaders!
We are now living in Obama's bizarro world where criminals are adored and cops hated; where white women are lusting after black men as portrayed in all the liberal sitcoms and mindless TV wasteland; where Christians are reviled and Muslims are benevolent though "misunderstood"; where God has no place but Allah does; where laws are becoming secondary to Sharia law; where guns are evil, especially in the hands of police officers, but they are provided to Mexican drug cartels; where the Feds still view pot as a felony but refuse to stop the free use of it nationwide (legalize it and tax it, dammit!); where pension promises made to government employees for decades of loyal service are now viewed as an albatross for government since the politicians can't steal it anymore because everyone is watching!
How did we let this happen? How many sheep have been indoctrinated by the socialist agendas in our schools and government? WTF?
The Police should not be the ones inforcing a tax revenue policy, ATF and IRS have their own LEOs to do that. They get paid GS9 - GS11, 20 years and out. This is a misallocation of police resources.
Second, as I mentioned before, The Demos are done, and they know it, the future of political america, is about me voting for someone who is going to lower my taxes so I am not paying 12K on property tax and can not retire, and crime. The abortion talk, birth control talk, and gay marriage is all BS. Lower my taxes.
But you watch, the Demos are turning a entire generation of people to live in poverty. Who will vote demo, for a handout and an obama phone.

This is the same asshole and administration that sent these officers out on the street to enforce these laws and arrest people for selling products that are not taxed because the city wants its revenue from everything sold - especially the over-taxed cigarettes. But when the officers did their job and it went south, what did jagoff mayor do? He denounces the department for enforcing policy that HE ENDORSES!!! What a f-king joke! The NYPD Boss that put the order out to arrest the sellers of 'loosie' cigarettes was 1st Deputy Commissioner Philip Banks,the highest ranking African-American in the NYPD..The order was put out 2-3 days before the Garner Incident..A bundle of ironies involved.

Not so backward, at all. Lots of cash going back 'home' to support the terrorists, thanks to those 'little cigarette crimes'. Do some research and you'll be stunned at how much money cigarette trafficking brings in under the table.
As always, the police are an easy target for any political group. It is easier and more profitable to attack the police then to defend them.
