New Recruits

  • The Chicago police force will have two new recruits.

Twelve-year-old Emily Beazley, who is battling cancer, and her younger sister, Olivia, will be named honorary police officers during a ceremony at headquarters Tuesday, police announced.

Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy will do the honors at noon in the main lobby of headquarters, 3510 S. Michigan Ave., according to a statement from Chicago Police News Affairs.
Hopefully, a very special day for all. Weather looks good so far.

What a great honor for her. I am sure she is so proud of her dad. This will bring a smile to her face. Please attend if you can.

They are just looking for new ideas. Forget these oh mighty gold stars. They call meetings to exploit the common blue shirt. They get the big money to run the place. With all their hand picked minions.

If I went I would be in total tears and probadly hit the floor with this most greatest thing CPD is doing. Most copper' melt in doing things like this. Copper's have the biggest hearts around when it comes to things like this.

That was the only thing that had an affect on me with 34 yoj. Poor children getting hurt or suffering or worse. This is beyond sadness what this angel and her family are going through.

Good GOD provide a miricle cure for this most precious child.

When we all thinks the minor shit gets to us, look at other people with major health issues with kids and you will say, fuck it.

Thanks SCC for sharing this with your million readers, your the best and you keep this old fuck sane.

Although retired, it would be an honor to come back and let them serve as my FTO.
They certainly could teach us a lot about bravery, dedication and sacrifice.
May God Bless and watch over Emily and Olivia.

I continue to pray for a miracle while that girl is in hospice care. I believe that God hears our prayers and miracles occur everyday. In the end though we have to accept God's will.

I don't think there was a dry eye in the crowd as the Beasley family came into HQ. Emily waved & cracked a little smile as her father pushed her in her wheelchair. She has touched so many people, not only in Chicago & the area but around the world. They say we all have a purpose for being here, I believe Emily's purpose is to touch so many people, bring people together & search harder for a cure to these horrible diseases. Bless you little one

I have two darling grand daughters that I am reminded of when I first saw the Beazley girls. No matter any individuals problems with their job, these girls are why we need to act like adults at times and put all gripes aside. My little 3 year old grand daughter doesn't know anything abut the CPD. All she sees is grandpa the cop and I am a hero to her. Around her I must act like it. Same with the Beazley girls. Be the hero they think we all are.
