Legitimate construction work has shut down one lane along that stretch West 51st Street. Police said the thieves are using a construction barrel to block the other lane.
When drivers got out to move the barrel, police said they were beaten and robbed by three or four male suspects.

Chicago and Cook County are heavily D politically. PC rules the day. The press has to avoid any sign of profiling, racism, stereotyping,discrimination. The question is: If we know where and how these attacks have occurred, why haven't we caught the thugs.

Note to all civilians: If the media description of an offender includes neither race nor gender, then the suspect/offender was a black guy. Remember this simple rule when reading/listening/watching any crime story, and the accuracyof the story goes way up.

Funny how one was offender was caught. Identifies him as one of the offender. But victim could not identify who went through his pockets while he was getting stomped on the ground. So the states attorney refused robbery charges. Only in cook county.

One offender was caught by 009 on 29 Mar after a brief foot chase. Positively ID'd by vic. Charges denied by ASA because the victim couldn't say for sure if the offender was the one who beat him, or the one who removed proceeds from his person. Unreal. I hope they have to answer now that it hit the news... yea, right.

We will have a detailed description, the first time a concealed carry permit holder shoots the criminal. Here is how the press works. If the offender is a male white they will describe him. If the offender is a male black, they will only give a vague description. The media will only say "no other details are given" when in fact that is an outright lie.
