Bomber Gets Death

  • A jury sentenced Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to death Friday for the Boston Marathon bombing, sweeping aside pleas that he was just a "kid" who fell under the influence of his fanatical older brother.

Tsarnaev, 21, stood with his hands folded, his head slightly bowed, upon learning his fate, decided after 14 hours of deliberations over three days. It was the most closely watched terrorism trial in the U.S. since the Oklahoma City bombing case two decades ago.

The decision sets the stage for what could be the nation's first execution of a terrorist in the post-9/11 era, though the case is likely to go through years of appeals. The execution would be carried out by lethal injection.
Good riddance, hopefully in under a few decades.

If they were serious about giving him the most severe punishment possible they would make him listen to Hawk Harrelson for an evening. No one can survive that ordeal.

Justice was served. The older one is dead, this one will be removed from the earth in the next few years.

And Richard Donohue, the Boston Transit officer critically injured in the shootout with the terrorists, returned to work Friday, with a promotion to the rank of sergeant. (That's one merit promotion I can support and applaud.)

I'll be dead before this guy dies of old age. In a few years, the usual suspects will start a letter writing campaign, ala, Mumia, to set him free.

A sincere apology to Sergeant Donohue. He wasn't meritoriously promoted. He was at the top of a legit promotion test/list.

Just found that (not so) small detail in a different news story. Again, my apology.

I had heard on one of the news channels that the average time from sentencing to execution of a federal death row inmate is about 15yrs. Hopefully, it won't take that long.

In a perfect world, this piece of shit would himself be blown up to meet the penalty of death.

A handful of M-80s adhered to various parts of his body and ignited individually so his demise would be nice, slow and painful.

I am really happy about that verdict. Sometimes people in Massachusetts are liberal. Funny how in light of the tragedy, they want the same level of justice as we do here.

That is a good deterrent for future terrorist wannabees.

Maybe cases like that should automatically be kicked up to a federal court with only one sentence option if found guilty - death by firing squad.

We don't need to house terrorists for 30 years.

Next case.

He has the death penalty, but will the teenager die of old age before his appeals run out?

Why does he need to appeal? Afterall, he believes that he will go to paradise and there will be 50 virgins waiting for him right.

Happily surprised!

I really didn't think a jury from a disgusting state like Massachusetts would have the righteous balls to condemn a Mohammedan murderer to death.

It was however sickening to listen to the federal prosecutor bend over backwards to say that this self proclaimed Mohammedan jihadist wasn't really a Mohammedan.

Meanwhile, The victims& their families will be riding the Appeals Carousel for Decades. Guess the Jury never considered that and many in Boston consider languishing in Prison a fitting punishment, let alone killing him makes him Martyr for the Jihadists

Forget lethal injection - it's too easy.

Get 5 pressure cookers, put timers inside of 4 of them set to go off randomly, but not blow...

Make the last one go tick....tick....tick... click...

Then nothing...

Wait 10 seconds, then BOOOOOOOOOM!

Fill the thing with ball bearings just like he did...

End of story.

Make sure there's a big drain in the middle of the cell so we can hose it down.

Televise the whole thing so the next genius to get an idea, decides it's a bad one...

The sad part is it took the jury 14 hours to reach a decision. Why 14 hrs. Should have been 10 minutes tops, and that included 5 minutes for coffee. ♠️

Many of the families of the victims had petitioned the court to take the death penalty off the table. NOT because they didn't want him to die, but because the families knew the death penalty would bring repeated appeals and they would have to relive the details of the case for many years to come.

It's likely that had a lot to do with any delay in deciding for or against the death penalty. It was out of consideration for the victims and their families, not a lack of desire to wipe him off the earth.
