If true, this should have the local, state and national lodges in an uproar:
- Twice in the last week I was listening to WVON, 1690 on the radio, and they took calls from people who said police officers wearing white, blue and brown should be killed. One caller, mad about the SOS photo, even said officers kids should be targeted and killed. The radio station let these conversations go on and did not cut them off. Be careful out there...
- If you need to hear the comments about the WVON radio station talking about killing police officers kids, in retaliation for the SOS photo, it was on the station 28 May 15, around 0830hrs.
Can anyone confirm?

Screw this job let it go to hell just like in Baltimore, crime is up 100% and 43 homicides for this month alone, gotta love it, he great idea put coppers in jail for doing their jobs.
I've been listening to WVON since the Jackie Robinson little league scandal. It is unbelievable the hatred toward white people that is allowed to be spewed on that station. 95% of the topics throughout the day have to do with racism and conspiracy theories. The worst part is that the radio hosts often agree with the callers who make crazy statements. The "black community" is getting exactly what they deserve. They point the finger at white people for all of their ills. They are willing to focus on police shootings and ignore thousands of their own being murdered and maimed by other black people. It's no wonder why black people feel they are victims. WVON reinforces the victimization beliefs. Al Sharpton has a show broadcast on WVON during the midday hours. Cliff Kelly...has a show in the afternoon. Cliff Kelly the former Chicago alderman who was convicted on corruption charges....he actually has the nerve to discuss about how politicians aren't helping the community. If I was still a Chicago Police Officer, I wouldn't do shit other than answer my calls. Why risk being indicted or wind up being the top news story for the liberal media?

I'm not familiar with WVON, but anyone targeting police officers for violence should be taken care of appropriately. And any radio station condoning/airing such acts should be shut down!
When you target the police and make them the enemy, this is the response you get from the really crazy people. I will site the two dead police officers, Liu and Ramos, in New York as examples.
The President and his progressive friends have lit that fuse and it won't go out. They are directly responsible for these deaths. This garbage from WVON, even though no one listens to that station, will incite more.The First Lady has taken every public speaking opportunity to fan those flames too.
A smart person would look at the totality of their actions and ask "Why?". The crazies will just act. Examine these events. Don't just tune them out because you don't like what they say. Study them. Dissect the data that is presented and learn what is going on here. Bextra careful these days.

Whelp, I for one would question the sanity and competence of anyone who even listens to that station. If their was an equivalent station for me to listen to, it would be deemed racists, and the politicians would do all they could to get it shot down, fined, and taken off the airwaves.
However, I am glad somebody listened to it though. It provided me with something that I didn't already know. Wow, who would have thought that in the black neighborhoods they do not like the police??? Licenses are issued with strict restrictions, and I doubt that a Talk Radio station would get away with something like this. Then we can start a campaign to call each and everyone of their advertisers called over and over to tell them to stop advertising on WVON. We can get an army of people to do this. Media Matters does it all the time to conservative stations when they don't like what they hear. Media Matters is funded by George Soros. Let's turn the table on them big time. I live in a community with a lot of police officers. I am sure I can get a group to start the phone calls.

There very well could be something to this. WVON pulled all of the podcasts of Matt McGill's show this morning.
This rates a formal, written complaint to the FCC. Then it needs to be publicized by MSM. I am not sure how to get tapes but the whole broadcast is recorded somewhere. A lawyer familiar with FCC rules regarding radio stations would know. This is disgusting and needs to be publicized.

You can make an FCC complaint if you know the day & time the comments were broadcasted. The fcc will actually fine the station heavily if they violated any fcc rules and hate speech is a violation. Embarrassing as it sounds, I was friends with Eric Muller (mancow) and a guy would make fcc beefs and the station had to rein him in because it was costing so much $&$

When I was on vacation in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin several years ago, on a miserable day I had to stay indoors, I checked out the radio offerings, and landed on that crackpot WVON for a little bit. I heard one black caller say that murder should only be a misdemeanor because black men convicted of it can't get jobs as cops when they get out of prison.

Bob Angone, he was very negative towards the cops in the photo that show the black kid in Antlers. He said he was appalled by that picture and that Tim McDermott should not get his job back. Well Bob Angone is just a headline chaser, while he was a Sergeant in Mass Transit years back he was the biggest JO. known to man, nobody was better then him in his eyes, he was a total stroke as a Lt. too, He goes on to say that if Finegan and McDermott had a better Sgt. that night the picture was taken then it should not have happened and the Sgts. failed to do their jobs. Toward that end, the FOP would like to extend their thanks for the year-long investigation your office conducted into the Alstory Simon case that resulted in your calling for the vacation of Simon’s conviction on October 30, 2014. As you know, the FOP vigorously supported the review of this case, as many of our members believed Porter was guilty and Simon innocent.

It's too bad you guys can't all take a well deserved vacation and, let these problem communities police themselves for about 6 mos. They could thin their own heard with no interference.
