"Horses of Honor" Closes
- You won’t be seeing the ‘Horses of Honor’ for much longer on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. The 20 horses, all named for a Chicago police officer killed in the line of duty, will be removed Wednesday and auctioned off online. All of the money raised will go to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation.
We understand the auction will be on EBay - the link will probably be on the CPMF website.

Looks like the world party is ending. China is down big again Tuesday Morning. By the time this comment is posted, how is Europe doing? The global economy was sputtering along, now it is grinding to a halt.
Things are going to get ugly, and broke, desperate people do crazy stuff. You thought Englewood is bad now? Just wait until half the currently employed aren't. Be prepared, because YOU are the thin blue line between civilization and barbarism.
Hang Seng stock index was actually up slightly.
The European stocks are up in early trading.
OT: anyone notice the house in 006 with the 3 dead bodies and fire has not been counted as a homicide? Still a death investigation? All 3 bodies had blunt trauma to the head area, maybe a table fell on them and moved on its own.
It would be great if units or districts can come together as one, we can all pitch in money and purchase the horses and place them in designated districts. I would love to be able to walk in my district and be able to view one of those beautiful horses. God bless those Officers who Made the ultimate sacrifice.
How about just having Cline work for a $1 a year? Donate his salary to the fund.
New vri rules coming out per the LT.
1. No more requesting partners
2. The activity will be doubled to get vri. 10 cc, 10 parkers, 10 movers, etc
3. Assisting arrests won't count in the arrest stat, you need to be box 1 or 2
4. Clean shaven, bump cards don't apply for VRI since it is voluntary
5. Mandatory inspection every roll call, inspector will be assigned.
6. All ticket books will be required to be on hand while working vri.

HEAR,HEAR!!! Great idea. He collects salary off the backs of our fallen heroes. He's got a pension that gives him room to donate his time as a retiree. If he can't/won't, then let him go get a job in the private sector.
There should be a Museum of Chicago police history, similar to British war museums where these horses should be honored.
Also, make no mistake, cultural marxists and heavily criminal gang infiltrated "movements' like BlackLivesMatter are now making a habit of desecrating the graves and monuments of groups they hate - right now it is mostly Confederate monuments, Confederate graves, but it will move on to anything and everything the cultural marxists, Black criminal mobs hate or envy.
We need to privatize that which is ours.
I hope they make some real money.

This is an example of why WE need to stop working these types of work.....make the city HIRE more officers. I, for one, am not signing up anymore. I like working with people I know. Nothing against the others but a lot of people are goofs. Thanks for the $. I'll enjoy time with my family and maybe take a vacation early this fall to Mexico.

Get a grip on yourself! Our market is not collapsing. It is FLUCTUATING, like it does all the time.
We were overdue for a correction; all this does is keep an ever-increasing bubble from bursting. Don't sell at the bottom, don't switch funds and lose everything; just be patient.
Or, be smart, and INVEST like hell right now. You'll make a good return in a pretty short period of time.
Shouldnt there be a class action lawsuit against VRI for demanding "quotas" to be eligible for the overtime? Hmm..
If they double the quota to work VRI, every copper should do nothing and not put in. Then supplemental will come out for every day of the month and you don't need any activity for that.

The Michael Ceriale Foundation tried to give their horse to 012 and downtown said "No." Reason given was that the lobby could get filled with horses in memory of officers from the district. The ones that are in districts supposedly represent more than officer. 019 has one commissioned by Ald Tunney that is dedicated to all officers from the distracted that died in the line of duty.

How about the classy rock group " Chicago" paying for a horse then starting the bidding for the horse at 10.000 dollars. They proudly said that they were from Chicago and supported the Chicago Police. I think they are the last all white band in the country still in business. Maybe R Kelly or Chief Kief will make a bid or two, LOL
