Preib Ties Up Some Loose Ends

  • As lawyers for an indicted Chicago Police Commander pore over a large body of evidence that could undermine criminal charges against their client, the question arises whether this commander has been placed in the crosshairs of the city’s wrongful conviction machine.

Commander Glenn Evans was stripped of his police powers last year after he was indicted on charges that in 2013 he put a gun in the mouth of a suspect, gang banger Ricky Williams, and threatened Williams’ life. It was a narrative that took Evans out of the high regard he has enjoyed for cleaning up some of the worst neighborhoods in the city—including political support all the way up to the superintendent and mayor’s office—and put him in the sordid company of cops accused of the worst abuse, like former Commander Jon Burge and his men, cops accused of torturing suspects for decades.

The criminal case against Evans generated a frenzy by the media, particularly those with a history of supporting wrongful conviction claims, like public radio station WBEZ.
And why would Evans be in the crosshairs of the wrongful conviction assholes?
  • Evans wrote the case report on  Madison Hobley, the arson mass murderer who Governor Ryan pardoned without once looking at the evidence that had convicted him.
Impeaching Evans today means that everything in his career would be suspect, including the case report and follow-up report Evans made 30 years ago that led detectives to Madison Hobley.

We can't recall any other media people coming up with this information, and given the outright lies that they have been caught in for years regarding the release of a lot of very guilty people, we can see them actively covering up things like this.

AHHH-HAAAHH!

No fucking wonder Flint Taylor and the PLO brow-beat a
beholden to THEM judge to drop dirty-assed paper
to take an illegal look-see at what Preib had managed to
compile on the dirty whores in the so called wrongful
conviction movement.

Said movement is coming apart like a water-logged turd.

As far as Commander Evans is concerned?

Let's just say it will be our joy to see the rotten m/fers
within CPD who were complicit in his railroading getting
hanged from the gallows they built for him.

Yes...
Impeach and impugn Evans who did the original paper on
the Hobley Murders, then Flint Taylor and the PLO would
be able to question his credibility and undermine the work Officer Preib and Bill Crawford
put in to snatch the covers off of all those dirty asses in the
filthy, vermin ridden (Not So) Innocence Project bed.

Shit...

We wouldn't be surprised if members of local media and some
local elected officials were up to their eyeballs in this as well.

P.S.

Are Barb West and "Biscuits 'n Gravy" Ervin sweating yet?
You know... Since they had a stake in Evans being shoved
out of the way for not going along and playing ball...

Hmmm...
That may (or may not) be a different story altogether.

Aye...
The Police are the problem.
Right?

It does seem that out of the characters involved,
The Policeman is the only one with a still discernible
true north on his compass.

May remedies for Glen Evans, Martin Preib and a host of others
include the utter financial ruin and multiple dozens of years imprisonment
of Flint Taylor and all others who aided, abetted and ran interference in
this eye-watering fiasco.

🎶 Seeee how they RUUNN! 🎶

The city drops the info randomly you never hear who found the info and you never see an IPRA or IAD guy in front of cameras saying how great an investigator they are.

I've known Glenn over 20 years. Worked with him for 5. Would gladly work with or for him again.
He's the kind of law enforcement person people understand they need, but don't want to see in action. Reminds me of the Colonel Jessup "You Want Me On That Wall!" "You Need Me On That Wall!" line, from the movie Men Of Honor.
Society wants us to protect them and maintain order. They just seem to have a problem being made to know what it actually takes to achieve those objectives. They don't really want to know. And NO, it aint just liberals. I've encountered many a so called, conservative, who frowned upon the thought of cops going hands on and kicking ass...ala cops of old.
Nowadays, it seems like every traffic stop finds the driver
This is the exact discussion I've had with friends and even family. I simply tell them, "You can't have it both ways".
I'm done in 2 years. Still, I genuinely sympathize with and fear for the young coppers just starting out. Their hands are going to be soooo tied.

Pay attention, people. You live in a city where Bernardine Dohrn was allowed to teach law at Northwestern University (after being on the run for bombing several government buildings and killing at least one police officer) while her husband Bill Ayers, who was also a domestic terrorist, was allowed to teach at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

These are radical communists who want to destroy this country. They built a radical cell that flourished in this city and still enjoys support of the democratic machine that they have taken over. This is who you vote for in this city when you vote for democrats. Don't be stupid. They are dangerous radicals who want this country destroyed and cops are their favorite targets. Do some research and see who these people are.

Inspector general: NYPD body camera program needs changes

Officers are now required to record "reasonable suspicion" interactions, but the NYPD should broaden automatically recorded interactions to include "all street encounters or all investigative contacts" and better define the kinds of interactions that would qualify, according to the report. Meanwhile, officers should be trained to know what situations they shouldn't record, including those involving victims of sex crimes.

Another issue is whether officers wearing the cameras should verbally notify people that they're recording the interaction and be trained to use specific language, as happens in Chicago and Washington, D.C.

How often recorded stops are reviewed — and by whom — is also a subject of concern. Eure suggests that officers and citizens alike involved in complaints shouldn't be able to review the footage until after giving formal statements to investigators. Similarly, police supervisors should randomly review footage to make sure it's being logged and recorded properly — but shouldn't do so in order to discipline officers for minor violations, such as being out of dress code, he said.

"The alleged gunman who shot and killed a Memphis police officer during a traffic stop was free on supervised release stemming from a bank robbery conviction..."

"Tremaine Wilbourn, 29, was sentenced to 121 months in prison in February for the robbery. But Wilbourn, who had also been arrested in 2014 on a charge of aggravated robbery, paid a fine and agreed to mental health treatment on July 7."

"Less than a month later, a warrant for first-degree murder has been issued for Wilbourn..."

This is a common tactic to "muddy-up" the copper so he/she has no credibility. They did that to a copper who was suppose to testify against three SOS coppers who home invaded his cousins house while he was there. In order to shoot down an HIS credibility, they chumped up some brutality BS against him and left him 30 pending for 2 years no pay. Finally when he got his job back "no back pay" the last thing he was going to do was help the ASA's that threatened to charge HIM criminally. Even if he did they would bring up his being fired for 2 years and make him look like the loose cannon. That one had Deb Krby written all over it. Oh yea, their Sgt was LeRoys son who had them logged in 014 while they were holding the family hostage trying to get them to go get money for them.
