Supporting the Chaplains

This coming Satuday:
  • Chicago Wingfest, a Buffalo wing competition thrown by Rush Street/Division Street bars featuring live blues music, carnival games, craft beer and a flea market, returns on Saturday, 05 SEP!

This year, the Wingfest sponsors have named Police Chaplains Ministry as one of only two charity partners. We are very excited by this show of generosity by Chris Ryan and his colleagues at Rush and Division.

The shenanigans go from 1:00-7:00 p.m. on 05 SEP, at Bailey Auditorium, 1340 W. Washington Blvd. More information can be found [at] www.WingFest.net.

Hope to see you there!!! Please spread the word.
    Fr. Dan Brandt
    CPD Chaplain
Hope to see you there.

Fr. Dan is a great guy. I knew him before he came to cpd when he was a priest at nativity in bridgeport. He was loved there like I've never seen another priest before. I'll be there

Here's an idea. Why don't all those bars in Wrigleyville, Rush Street etc., apply for a permit and shut down some of the streets they are on and have a street party to benefit the Chicago Police Memorial Fund? They certainly benefit from the hard work the CPD does and what a good way to show support for the Police when we are under attack nationwide. Put your money were it matters. You are either with us or against us. Which is it Mr. Bar Owner?

Too bad Beatrice can't showcase her hot wings. Many tender north side pallettes would be destroyed.

All kidding aside, it's nice of them to do this for the Chaplains.

Why? Are all northsiders artists? Oil, or acrylics?
Or did you perhaps mean 'palates'?

Father Dan Brandt is the Best!!!! He was our parish Priest at St. Williams on the northwest side. Came to our block parties and was just one of the guys. He and Rabbi Wolf are truly a blessing for the troops to have around!!!!!!!!!

I looked at the wingfest website and see in the pictures lots of hotties at last year's event. I plan to meet my future ex-wife there on Saturday. AND I get to support the chaplains' ministry in the meantime. Bonus!!! (Seriously, thank you to the chaplains for all you do for us, often in our darkest moments.)
