No Bet

  • St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay turned down the traditional friendly bet on the playoff series between the Cubs and Cardinals, according to Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office.

Emanuel proffered the usual assortment of Chicago beers, deep-dish pizza and Eli's cheesecake, plus tickets to Chicago tours and a donation to charity as the city's offering if the Cubs lose to their hated rivals from Missouri in the National League Division Series. But Emanuel spokeswoman Kelley Quinn said Slay declined to reciprocate.
Yeah, we wouldn't be caught dead gambling with Rahm either. He cheats.

What does St Louis have to offer? A six pack. Of beer?A three night stay in Furgeson?

You could say that he knew enough not to steal candy from a baby. Cubs win? Not likely. This is the time of year that they turn to disappointing their fans.

He basically told Emanuel that his employees work when they're at work, not play games, devising distractions and photo ops.
Don't know anything else about him, but he sure thumbed his nose at Emanuel and I like him for that.

Good for the Mayor of St Louis not partaking in these idiotic playoff bets. Make it a real bet Rhambo, $10,000 out of your pocket. Better yet make a package of JJ fish sampler and Harolds chicken, sloppy maxwell street pork chop sandwiches.

SCC, check out from Sun-Times from Fri: Union balks at Mayor Emanuel's comment that cops are 'fetal'

“We have allowed our police department to get fetal and it is having a direct consequence,” Emanuel told U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch. “They have pulled back from the ability to interdict . . . they don’t want to be a news story themselves, they don’t want their career ended early, and it’s having an impact.”
Assrham's comments to big-city police chiefs, the U.S. attorney general, the head of the FBI and other law-enforcement and elected officials on wed.
WTF... Didn't he want the cop fired for saying POS michael brown-stain got what he deserved??? Search for the story from Fri sun-times.

I wonder if you took a poll of both their taxpaying citizens, a fair bet would be:

The loser resigns as mayor and resigns from politics forever.

The winner gets to retire from politics and resigns as mayor.

Okay a quick question for our (br)ass. Why are there dozens of city snow plows with blades attached sitting on side streets around the perimeter of the Chicago marathon start/finish line and staging area?? Are the powers that be expecting a blizzard this weekend or something more sinister?? We of course as the first responders are kept totally in the dark! Wtf!

No, They will use these trucks to create a blockcade at intersections to prevent vehicles from crashing thru, a smart tactical move, they line these trucks up across Roosevelt Rd. at LSD to protect the command Post set up for all of the agencies. This is in the hopes that no crazy ass people can crash thru and run over folks at the finish line. start line.

"ALLOWED?"

You mean "FORCED."

Publicly whip the s__t out of someone at a CompStat meeting, and affect not to understand why they're curled up into a whimpering little ball.

And yeah, it's "having an impact." De-policing, along the lines of "community sensitivities" that people should be allowed to do whatever the f__k they want with no consequences.

The city you see is the city they want.

Now, if we could get someone who'd have the backs of a "feral" department, that'd be something.

Is the mayor of St.Louis is going to be made to pay with his ass

Hell... Rahm needs a steady diet of "No!" in his life

04:14 hrs. - Expect to hear Rahmulus babble about the blm/i can't breathe mantra for AG Lynch & her mob for the next few weeks as these people arrive for the IACP Conference (Int'l Chiefs assn). What will be even funnier is when CPD will show other agencies our "solutions" to current problems. Those seances are for members only. But the interesting part of the conference is open to all credentialed first responders & military - the Exhibits which open Oct 25 @ McCormick Place West.
