Every swinging dick that pulled a strand of lights off a tree, dropped a can, bottle or wrapper to the ground or refused a lawful order to disburse from blocking a street or sidewalk should have been assigned a CB number - it's that fucking simple.
And while the bought-and-paid-for-judges obviously aren't backing our play, these assholes should've been hit with applicable state charges, held overnight and sent to see the judge at CBC at 26th Street today. Let these fuckheads sit in a cage, soaking wet from the rain, for 12-24 hours from arrest to appearance before the judge. Mandatory bond hearing before a judge should've been SOP for this protest, just like it was for misdemeanor charges during the Bulls riots. None of this out in 3 hours after their prints clear. The CCSAO and judges in conjunction with McBoozer and Co. could've issued such an order, but Rahm would rather give these cocksuckers free reign to act like fucking savages, destroying shit and inconveniencing people who need to go about their daily routines.
Fuck this city. Give the people what they deserve, and not an ounce more. Time to lookout for #1 and #1 only, folks.

It is only to be expected. The bitter gall of oppression bubbles up in their throats and they are so helpless to right the wrongs that have been perpetrated upon them. Why are the officers allowing the protesters to scream in their face? The courts have ruled that officers are allowed their own reasonable personal space for safety, i.e.: bodily fluids, ear drums, gun protection. Stick up for yourselves and Push those bastards back officers!!!

The mistake being made here is by us - trying to impose our way of reasoning and logic on what they're doing. After all, they must have some reason to do this, or if they're mistaken, we can reason with them or buy them some programs/preferences that will fix their complaints. Then we can get along. That's how we think. But they don't think that way, in fact they don't really "think" at all. They have other motivations/impulses other than logic and reason. The truth is, they're doing this because, given enough numbers, given enough power, this is what they do. Every time. Until we realize it and give ourselves the freedom to act on it, this ugliness will keep getting worse and worse.

Totally agree....I've been gone going on 6yrs and I'm so disappointed to see which way the Department is going. Somebody start making some command decisions...Pull the large transportation vans in plain view and when they BREAK THE LAW, lock them up. They cannot block the street traffic, make them stay on the sidewalk and obey all the traffic laws. Where's the horse's for crowd control?? Didn't see any. They are wonderful for moving a crowd where you want them to go...where are they McDrunk???? I'm ashamed to say the CPD has lost it, and it will take years to bring it back. Somebody call Tony Ivanjack and ask him how to run the Police during a demonstration. During the Iraq bullshit marches, we were in control because of his leadership. Now a Policeman gets punched and injured, a judge lets the asshole go...OK, somebody take the report and evidence picture to the Grand Jury and get him indicted, it was a felony. He determines what's right and wrong from a video, in fact, why even have a court system? Remember, when called to a CP school for a report of any kind, you, are the investigator.
You enter the appropiate information and the correct observations. ie. Wether cuts, brusies, torn clothing
were observed by r/o. Same goes for CDTP, or thefts. If the victim didn't see their property taken, it was lost
Make the lost property report.
Lastly, no brakes what so ever for any CPS employees.

I agree with one protester. She related that we should stop the "Police State" in the Aftrican American community. We should evenly spread out patrol throughout the city. Its all about being diverse. We shouod not target African Americans. When we only patrol African Americans are statistics become 90% black contact cards and other 90% black Northwestern University studies. Power to the people. Good black folks could have stopped that young man with the knife. He was just minding his buisness. He needed the knife for protection.

I can't imagine what the morale of police officers must be at this moment. Whether or not, the officer over-reacted, that is to be decided by a jury. But how that officer can get a fair trial in this environment, now with the video released, is beyond me. And can you imagine what happens if the officer is acquitted????????
Face it, Chicago, Rahm is bad man - ethically, morally, spiritually. He is a bully and a coward. He settled the case for 5 Million before a lawsuit was filed (and Mrs. Koschman receives $250,000) and buried that video for political purposes. I pray for you - ladies and gentlemen - not to stay discouraged, to do the best job you can, and to wait until this storm passes. I have to believe, that a day of reckoning is coming. At the time those 40 bikes he cut were already on 14 hours for the day and had to double back at 0600 Sunday morning. Before you criticize the guy for making sure the overused bikes got some rest for what is the start of many long weeks for us try jumping on a bike and going almost non stop for a few of these tours. By the way, there was still multiple bike squads up who were at the 12 hour mark and a bunch of fresh tact/gang/sat guys out there getting the job done. Must have been a nightmare listening to the radio away from it all for you because if you were there you would have known we were fine.
It's 7:40 pm on thanksgiving and I just get a recorded phone call from the Chicago Teachers Union. I had just finished reading the blog and learned that Karen Lewis was promoting protests. Usually I wouldn't answer a call like that but I had too see if it was about the protests. Well it was and it was a recorded message from Jesse J himself stating Push was joining the CTU in promoting the protests. It doesn't surprise me but WTF.
The pimps in the media like everyone in the Slum-Times and that slug Rex Hupke never address the issue of property being destroyed by protestors. ♠️

The disruption of the holiday shopping season is intended to dramatize the police brutality that was responsible for the death of the drug addled honor student with the knife.

The only people that shop on the mag mile are tourists. Let them block it. Indiana stores are open and much cheaper to shop in. While your there you can stop by Cabelas, Bass Pro, etc. and pick up some ammo. Stay safe out there.

As a CTU member, you won't catch me protesting with all of those fools. What's the point in causing further harm to our city? Are we also supposed to pull lights of the Christmas tree and attack cops? That'd be a great example to show our students. Let this situation play out in the court of law where it belongs, and leave our innocent citizens, tourists, and businesses out of it.
I'm pretty sure Car 41 is D/C Dave McNaughton, a very nice guy but totally not experienced enough to be in charge of these downtown events, was the District Commander in 16, then moved out to 8, and now Deputy Chief . They threw him to the wolves on this one. Will Garry be out today with his guys ?
